DisneyLand Hotel Bonita Waterfalls doomed?
Hello, after seeing Darkbeers pictures of most of the waterfalls turned off and reading through a old rumor thread stating that the waterfalls would be removed, I am wondering if this is it for the waterfalls? Please say it ain't so. The Waterfalls were my favorite part of the hotel, the sounds the ambiance....
If you have any information about this please post it.
Thanks!
Re: DisneyLand Hotel Bonita Waterfalls doomed?
I don't think they're doomed. They could be getting some maintenance.
Re: DisneyLand Hotel Bonita Waterfalls doomed?
They are not doomed, I was there not too long ago and they had the other falls that ARE on now off and empty, they are just cleaning them and replacing lamps.

Best news I have heard all day! :)
Re: DisneyLand Hotel Bonita Waterfalls doomed?
Yeah, that would be really foolish to lose the waterfalls, it's one of the things that sets the DLH apart.
If they were smart, they'd put in some lower-level restaurants nearby (maybe dig out fantasy waters, since they're not using it) and extend the waterfalls to surround some outdoor dining areas (or maybe to fall just beyond windows to the indoor areas?)

Yeah, they were running when i was there a week and a half ago.:)

We were just there 2 weeks ago and it looked like they were doing maintenance on them when we went to see them during the day on Saturday, but Saturday night they were on (went off right at 9pm though). My boyfriend had never seen them before so I was tickled that they were on - its always been one of my favorite things about the hotel! That and the dancing waters back in its glory days!
I was able to have fun with the long shutter on my camera! ;)

Re: DisneyLand Hotel Bonita Waterfalls doomed?
I love all the waters of the DLH. That includes Horseshoe Falls as well as the old Dancing/Fantasy Waters and Marina with the pedal boats. I love the Cove Pools and I'm worried about their fate. They were in disrepair my last few trips (last July, September, and December) so can anyone tell me if they're fixed now?

they wont be fixed that quick, probably by the end of this week.

They can't remove the waterfalls! Those are the best places to make out in at the resort.

Young girl with eyes like the desert
It all feels like yesterday, not faraway
Tropical the island breeze,
All of nature wild and free,
This is where I long to be,
La isla bonita!

Thanks. Glad the falls will be back before I go (in 19 days). But, FantasyWatersDude, do you know anything about the state of the Cove Pools too? Thanks.

mmmmm....so many happy memories within the darkness of those falls.

I am not sure about the cove pools, I went recently and the pool was open. I didn't know that they were doing anything to the cove pool at all.
