5/5 Wine Fest Wine Tasting Lessons

On Saturday we ventured over to DCA to the Food and Wine Festival for the Wine Tasting class that was offered. I highly recommend getting tickets for this class to anyone who has an interest in wines at all, it was a blast. The class was taught by Michael Jordan (no not that one) Master Sommelier and General Manager of Napa Rose. Basically it was like a beginning sommelier class where you learn to identify certain taste smells colors etc.. in a wine and using those you can identify what the grape varietal is, where it was grown, vintage, etc.. For $20 you can't lose.

It did look interesting. DCA seems a lot more crowded than DL today. I think there was a pin trading thing going on too.

Unfortunately I didn't make it into DCA yesterday, just had time for some morning canoes and the noon hub meet.

I'm pretty sure Napa's Michael Jordan has not yet achieved the status of Master Sommelier.
