Fantasy Waters

Ok I know it was some sort of laser light/water show outside the Disneyland Hotel and I'm sure I watched it, but I don't remember it at all. Isn't it where that weird sort of stage is? By the waterfalls? Why is it empty? Why is it gone? Could someone explain to me exactly what it was and what kind of music was played. Also, why is that whole area so run down? It makes me sad. I mean past the waterfalls is nothing...Why can't they bring something back or put something there? The Disneyland Hotel used to be so happenin! I MISS IT! And if they get rid of those waterfalls, HEADS WILL ROLL... I have so many amazing memories there with my dad who suddenly passed away 3 years ago and I want to be able to relive those memories when I go see them!

i saw it not too long ago
they closed it just before the 50th opened i think

I remember that the water shot up into the air & was coordinated with the music. The water was multicolored with lighting.....
There were light-up pictures of different characters along the top of the stage (like the wire models of santa & reindeer that they sell around christmas) and different characters would light up to correspond to what music was playing ....................
and........ i'm not entirely sure what music was used, i think just different movie themes, park themes, etc.

I remember very little of it, but i know it was a nice show and i'm also disappointed with what they have done to it

Fantasy Waters is just a regular fountain now, no dancing... just a small animated fountain. It closed in 2004. The waterfalls are not going to be torn down anytime soon as right now they are cleaning them and replacing all the old pumps and lights.

Does anyone have the soundtrack? I remember it was composed of really old stuff like the theme to the Rescuers and Captain EO.

Doesn't look like anything special...
However if it was completely re-done using modern technology etc, I'm sure it would be an awesome addition to the Hotel.

However, why re-do Fantasy Waters when you can wait a couple of years for the Wonderful World of Colour?

I'ts got quite a few songs from "Simply Mad About The Mouse" like the Ric Ocasik cover of zip-a-dee-do-dah & the Billy Joel "When You Wish Upon a Star". I used to LOVE that video...wonder if I've still got it?

Thats what i like about it though, it seemed as if it hadn't been touched since it opened. It had that "classic original" feel to it and took you back to some of your first visits to the park. It immediately made me remember visiting when i was 4.

But not everyone will feel this way

i still think it's a shame
