Are you saying that what makes an attraction an "E" ticket is the thrill???
    I could not agree less.
"E" ticket means out of this world attraction thats ment to amaze not to thrill. It simply means the most elaborate and quality attraction. I am not saying that thrill rides dont deserve to be "E" tickets, I am just saying that thats not what the ticket rating system is based on.
Look at pirates and HM..... Are they ment for thrills???? I think not....

I think you guys are taking the E-Ticket out of proportion. The Monorail was an E-Ticket attraction. That's a sleek vehicle that takes you to and from the Disneyland Hotel. So obviously it's not just THRILLS that creates an E-Ticket.

    So what does??

Other E-Tickets were America Sings, Submarine Voyage, It's a Small World, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, PIrates of the Caribbean, Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise.

I suppose you can argue that animatronics are a staple of a good E-Ticket. But Monorail doesn't have it... and Matterhorn Bobsleds didn't have any either until the addition of the snowman later.

An E-Ticket is a highly immersive themed attraction that transports you somewhere. Grizzly River Run certainly satisfies that requirement with or without animatronic animals. Would animals make it a BETTER E-Ticket? Definitely.

    Re: DCA needs a mountain

The "tie-in" for GRR is that it is based on a real place in CA- just like the GCH is based on the Awahnee Hotel in Yosemite.

DCA -> California -> Grizzly Peak -> GRR

It's one of the charming things about DCA. While DL is all about fantasy, DCA also incorporates the real aspects of CA that are, in their own way, "magical".
