    I wish I could go to a meet :(

I feel lame making this thread, but I see all the photos of everyone having fun at the meets, and I'm sad because I will probably never go to one considering I live across the country and my age. I am really sad. They seem so fun. Maybe someday I can go to one, but until then, I'm pretty about it. *sigh*

Aww, don't be sad. You're with us in spirit! And who knows what the future holds? One day you just may make your way this way!

The good news is, when I'm older, I might want to move near Disneyland so I can go a lot more! I've only been twice! The majority of the stuff I know about it has come from internet research. I have memories of my visits, of course, but I obviously haven't been to DCA or anything.

The meets are just so cool seeming.

Make it a priority when you can- but don't waste time being sad. I doubt very much that we are all going to stop having the meets.

It's too bad the meets are not in WDW, because I am managing to go there next April.

They have meets at WDW, just not as often, just go check out the WDW section for more details.

Well I probably won't be able to run off on a meet when I'm in WDW, considering I will be only 15 and I'll be with my dad (parents are divorced and the idea of the trip is sort of a bonding thing).

I moved to SoCal, mainly because of my job offer, but I applied for the job because it was here. I grew up in MN, you'll be free to move out here or anywhere when you're older. The meets are cool and I'm sure our friends in FL, would be able to set one up in WDW when you visit there, check the WDW forum as Darkbeer said.

But maybe you could talk Dad into about a half-hour of time to visit, and I would bring him with you....

I feel lame...like I said, I'm only proficient with Disneyland due to research. Before I started doing that, I basically remembered Rocket Rods, Autopia, and Innoventions and some rides in Fantasyland, and the Jungle Cruise.

It's okay. I've never been to WDW, so I guess we could be called even.

You'll be able to get out here sometime in the future.

I can't wait for WDW. Based on memories, I think I liked Disneyland better, but at least I'm going somewhere Disney .

Sadly, one thing I was dying to see in WDW - 20K Leagues Lagoon - was of course destroyed. Grr.

After living in Anaheim for 20 years (within walking distance of DL) and then another 20 at the beach (within 30 minutes by car), I moved to the desert last year and just missed out on all the meets and making friends with numerous local MiceChatters.

I'm now 90 minutes from the park and might meet up with them someday but it's a trek for me now and the Senior Shuttle and Sun Bus don't go that far.
