Can I being my camcorder to DL?

Now I've brought my small camcorder to DL without problem. But I'm going to be getting a professional camera (a Canon XH-A1) and I was wondering if they'd still le me bring it in. It's a lot bigger and fancy than the average camcorder, so would they get suspicious that someone's trying to film something professional? I simply just want High def video of disneyland.

Would they let me bring it into disneyland, or would they stop me because it's too professional?

I'd leave the directors chair at home.

Re: Can I being my camcorder to DL?

15 years ago all video cameras, or camcorders as we now call them, would be large, heavy and cumbersome, the same kind used by news crews today. They were a pain to carry around all day. Then in the early 80's there were those video cameras which required you to carry your VCR with you wherever you went, strapped to your hip.

so yeah, you should be fine.

You should be fine. The only rule is no visible viewscreen/exterior lights on dark rides like Pirates or HM. I've seen people get yelled at for that before.

Re: Can I being my camcorder to DL?

Yeah. I was just thinking, because I could see them wondering since it's more professional than most camcorders and they might be suspicious it's more than a home movie...Which it would be. I know Disney is weird about copyright, so I was just checking.

If disneyphile brought her one-of-a-kind camera to the park to film Micechat's 2nd anniversary with no problem, then you'll be fine!

Yeah, I doubt your camera's more professional-looking than DP's. Just don't be filming film-based attractions with it, and you should be fine.

Yep. They get yelled at... and they ignore the instruction to turn them off...and they ruin the ride for you..but as long as they get THEIR enjoyment...
