    Catal Dinner photo report

For her birthday dinner my wife chose Catal in DTD. Always one of our favorites and it was exceptionally good once again.

    For starters, a good wine:

Yes, there is some viscosity there. Indicating a higher alcohol content, (we learned something at these wine tasting lessons).

We started off with the boneless quail appetizer:

They were out of the cedar planked salmon so she went with the pappardelle with braised lamb:

While I tried the dijon braised rabbit:

And then for dessert, milk chocolate caramel torte with white chocolate gelato:

We also had a little time to run in and see the newly uncovered Nemo:

Only opened one day day and already trash floating in the lagoon, a shame. But still, a great evening.
    Mike

Thanks for the update Mike. I've never eaten at Catal so it was fun to see the food.

Thanks for taking such good care of the birthday girl! She deserves it.

I find it highly ironic that Disney slaughters the same animals that they try to sell as lovable simulated humans to the general public. I'd like to see them try to peddle a plushie of the braised rabbit!

Information tidbit.....Catal is not owned by Disney, it's owned by the Patina Group, so slaughtering Thumper is OK!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

While that's true, Disney is leasing/renting the space to them.

Yeah it's me nitpicking... just always bothered me!
