    Mark Twain extended closure

Checked the calendar today and was dismayed to see the Mark Twain appear as closed on the dates of our upcoming visit (5/30-6/3). Looks like they must have found more problems? Anyone have the scoop on this?

So disappointing because we have been watching videos of DL with our 3 year old and two things I KNOW he would LOVE are the Mark Twain and the RR. Such a bummer.

Is the Columbia still operating on the river? For rides I mean? That would be a consolation.

    Poop.

I hope it's not down during that time, that's when I'll be there as well.
Do NOT pull down on the safety bar, please...I will lower it for you...

The Columbian still sets sail, but like the first 15 feet on it, you get really bored and wish you could get off, least it happens to me and my fiance and friends haha

We enjoy riding the Columbia. It's a nice "kick back" time. The Columbia wasn't running when I was there May 5 - 11 (you could go on it, though). But since Tom Sawyer Island will be opening back up as Pirates on May 25 the Columbia will probably be running.

I believe the damage on the Mark Twain turned out to be worse then they had originally thought.

There's something in Al's column about it on, I think, page three. He says at least June 18th for the Twain.

I'm thinking with the Premiere out of the way, the Columbia will be sailing the ROA. If not it might just stay at the loading dock and allow guests to come aboard and check it out.

When I was at the park yesterday they were really working hard on the Mark Twain though. Looks like they were under around the part where the wheel is at when I looked.

I don't think the Mark Twain has ever gotten this much attention from the average visitor.
