Its Not About The Thrill!!!!!

I have seen this time to time where people think an attraction has to be thrilling (as in high speed looping roller coaster) to be an E ticket.

ITS NOT ABOUT THE THRIL!!!!
For a attraction to be worth an "E" it does not have to be thrilling, it has to be a quality incredibly well themed attraction.
Look at pirates...Now that is most definetly an E-ticket...its INCREDIBLE. And its not thrilling.
Look at all these E tickets that are not thrilling but are amazing and well worth an E

POTC
HM
The subs (one of the original E-tickets)
Jungle cruise
"IASW"
WDETR
MTTNW (natures wonderland)
ATIS (I think that was an E)
And even
Splash mountain. I know its got the drops but thats not the main thing. Its about the themeing atmosphere.

If people want thrills then they can go to Knotts, but anyone who wants theming, attmosephere, service, attention to detail, out of this world experiences, and last but not least Magic, then they go to the MUCH better Disneyland.


When Walt dreamt of Disneyland he dreamed of a place "where parents and children can have fun Together" Little kids are not going to go on the Malliboomer (:thumbdown ) with their parents.....


Anyway I have seen this around and want to make myself clear about what I think.:)

I wouldn't consider most of those e tickets and it has nothing to do with the thrill non thrill factor.

Ewwww I hate how the term E-ticket is thrown around on a whim all the time. I hate that term!

I agree with most of that list except the Mark Twain. It's a very nice attraction, but definitely not E-ticket quality. For me, an E-ticket attraction needs a well themed queue, an engaging storyline, and detailed sets and special effects. It also needs a powerful soundtrack that fits the attraction, as well as good execution and design.

I admit that when I put the twain on there I new it was a bit of a strech.

Yes, if it was all about the thrills nobody would ever go to HKDL...

Would that make Small World a "sanity thrill ride"? :whistling

I certainly love thrill rides that are well themed...and disdain unadorned carnie rides. But, I agree with the contention that all headliners do not, and should not travel at 90mph while turning the rider in all directions at once...making them lose their lunch. There are many different ways to create a dramatic and fun major attraction.
