Mysterious Island at Disneyland?...

As I was looking at Disneyland on Google Earth I said.."Self,...I think Mysterious Island from Tokyo Disney Sea would be great right over in this section of land..."



Now, I know that's backstage area, but hey! It's Disneyland...They can squeeze anything together!

It seems like they have enough space to make it work..that would include Mt. Prometheus, lagoon, and the 20,000 leagues under the sea attraction.
(The DL railroad could go thru the ride building like splash, or what I would like if the train ran along the lagoon.)

Here's a birds eye of Mysterious Island and it's surrounding area...(it's right in the middle)


Now the great thing about this land is that it's self contained in rock meaning you can't see anything outside that land once inside.

Another great aspect is the themeing as it would look great behind Thunder Mountain and along side the Rivers of America. It fits the theme(s) of all the surrounding lands and makes a great transition.

Interesting ideas, but I just don't see how an island would fit the theme. As much as we may like to try, DL will never be TDS.

You have teo land and disneyland can not take the main repair shops.

i think that's the most logical place to put a new attraction but i think it needs to be something that fits into the theme of frontierland. a dark boat ride on the colorodo river would be cool.

If I'm not mistaken, this is pretty much the area that Discovery bay was planned for. of course that concept paved some of the way for the Tokyo Disney Sea area.

I like the idea. And tie-in the back half on Tom Sawyer Island and the area west of Big Thunder, where Cascade Peak was, into the theming.

Include a full tour of the Nautilus please, as at DLP.

I like it, but would probably be the most beneficial in the 3rd CA park rather than the original Disneyland. I think Disneyland is pretty close to perfection with a few loose nuts that need to be fixed. Adding mysterious island would just make the place even more crowded than it needs to be.

Discovery Bay was originally designed to go here, it featured many of the same design elements. I think its an excellent idea!

It's really a stunning land....all of the attractions are inside the rock. (That's what makes it so cool...)

I like the discovery bay idea and the idea of the volcano, however, I do not think it fits the theming of that area of the park. Perhaps, (go ahead and shoot me now), if the autopia was replaced with discovery bay and the volcano, tomorrowland would be enhanced. I think it could really go well with tying into FNSV. However, it would create a problem with the tie into fantasyland/matterhorn. However, it would solve part of the problem of what to do with the whole motorboat area.
