    Smile Tickets off of eBay?

    Hey guys!

We're thinking of taking a short trip this July to visit my "homebase" and we're looking into buying tickets off of eBay. Has anyone ever done this? Bought the last two or three days off of someones five day pass?

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

I don't think I would personally try it. I'd be concerned about how do you know if there are any days left on it. Others might have better feedback on ebay tickets. Do you have a Costco membership? They have some good deals on Disneyland tickets.

Oh! COstco! We're actually going there this evening! I never woulda thought of looking here.

Nobody has ever bought tickets off of eBay? On the flip side, has anyone ever sold them? Did it go smoothly?

    Why is it illegal? *ponders*

I don't know if its illegal, but I know the tickets are supposed to be non-transferable.

As far as Costco tickets go, up here in WA, they usually come with tickets to other attractions in the area like Universal Studios. They might be sold separately down there, but I doubt it. Definitely check Costco though.

Its ilegall because in the state of california the transfer of tickets for any price other than face value is considered scalping

We actually did it a few years ago - but, we took a huge risk - you never know if the person is going to deliver or not. I wouldn't do it again. Our situation turned out fine, but, it's not worth it.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I'd highly recommend not going to eBay for tickets. That's not a good idea at all.

Just get them online at Disneyland.com or at other places like Costco, Vons, or your local Disney Store.

Most important thing if you do it through EBay just dont buy tickets that show the ticket # in the posting because Disney will flag and void that ticket and then grab you when you try to use it

    Re: Tickets off of eBay?

^^ wow.. I didn;t even think of that either.

We might try to see if we can get tickets for a good price off of eBay, but that would only be after we've tried Costco and such.

I'll let you guys know the prices at Costco after we get home tonight.

Ohh.. I also called AAA and they have tickets for the same price as on the Disneyland.com web site (a $50 discount... I think) BUT they come with free parking too.

No one ahs had any good experiences from eBay?

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

    Re: Tickets off of eBay?

I have not bought Disneyland tickets from eBay, and would be very hesitant to do so.

That said, I'm a big eBay shopper and I've only had 1 problem out of hundreds of purchases (and sales). I have bought a concert ticket before on eBay (uh oh! I think the Fuzz is kicking my door in! ), and that turned out fine.

If you do decide to go with eBay for yr DL tix, do the same kind of stuff that you should always do at eBay: check their feedback! Look at their feedback and see which of their past auctions were also for DL tix and see what the buyers had to say about it.

    Good luck.
