Rockr's 5/18 Trip Report- Characters AND Submarine photos!

Well, after my final day at Irvine Valley College on Thursday, I decided to let myself loose at Disneyland today!



As I walked in, I noticed that the plaque says it all!


I decided to head on over to Splash Mountain since it has just reopened, and I noticed the shops on Adventureland had not yet opened.


While walking, I noticed the final preperations being made for the Pirates premiere.




SPLASH MOUNTAIN IS BACK!

And the wait was just 10 minutes! After a ride on Splash, it was already past 11:00, and I decided to head on over to DCA to catch a ride on California Screamin'....but it wasn't operating. However, I noticed some progress on the Midway Mania construction.



I decided to have lunch over at Pizza Owm Mow Mow, and ordered thier pasta.


After lunch, I headed back towards to Disneyland when I noticed the High School Musical Pep Rally coming by!


Coming back to Disneyland, I noticed Mary and Bert greeting guests near City Hall.


I decided to head on over to the Submarine Voyage, and have a look at it!


Only 25 more days, Micechatters..


Until that 2 hour wait..


"MINE!" "MINE!" "MINE!"


"OH, WILL YOU JUST SHUT UPPPP!!!??? YOU"RE RATS WITH WINGS!"

In regards to the wait time saying 120 minutes even a 2 hour wait will be considered a short wait for the subs. I imagine we are more realistically looking at 4 hour waits or longer for most of the day this summer.

Continuing where we left off.

Anyway, here are some more photos of the submarine






While on my way to Toontown, I noticed Peter Pan was antagonizing Captain Hook.


Captain Hook was then seen taking a hostage with him. After that encounter, I decided to head to Mickey's house for a pic with him, and I took some pics in his house.




Gettin' some laundry done...

And here he is..Mickey Mouse!


After seeing Mickey, I decided to head on over to Tomarrowland for a ride on Buzz Lightyear!

I then remembered that California Screamin' was opened around this time, and I decided to head to DCA for a ride. While walking, I noticed the show in the Grizzly River Run area.


And it is off to California Screamin!


After a ride on California Screamin,' I decided to have some Ice Cream over at the Bur-r-rbank Ice Cream!


PS- You can really smell the waffles!

After eating my cone, I headed back to the other park and watched the Dapper Dans sing "mr. Sandman."



Afterwards, one of the Dapper Dans was chatting with a few guests.


I was getting a little tired, and so I rested up at the Coke Stand, and had some water. Just then, Bert and the pianist were getting ready for a game of musical chairs.


Just then, Wendy and Peter showed up. Wendy noticed me, and she said "Hello, sir! Are you going to play a game of musical chairs with us?" I thought about it for a moment, and I said, "Okay." I was in it, a 14-year old boy, a parent and her child, and of course, Peter and Wendy played along. The parent was the first to go. Then another, then another, and then...me.

Bert then brought me up, and asked my name. I stated my name was Alex, and Bert gave me a riddle: What is green, and smells like paint? I responded Peter Pan, and Bert said "Incorrect!" Wendy and Bert smelled Peter, and then Bert gave me another chance to answer, and I gave up. It was green paint. I then got down, and Wendy said "It was nice to finally meet you, Alex!"

At the end of the game, I got this photo:


Just then, a parent and her daughter were getting a photo with all the characters, and then I realized with all of them there, I yelled "Group PHOTO!!"

It was getting close to 3:30, so I headed back to DCA for a picture with Chip and Dale.


It was 3:30 when my ride came. What a day! No crowds, and great weather!
