I look forward to their stories when they move on from Glendale.
I have to disagree with you. Walt himself often changed things at the park and I don't think that the island changes are a mockery.

The real mockery was the earlier management which let the place fall apart for the past 20+ years to the point everything had to be replaced.

To me it looks like the Imagineers have done quality work and I look forward to seeing the new island.

My comments have absolutely NOTHING to do with changes, quality, or maintenance.

THey have EVERYTHING to do with abandoning the very concept of "THEME" at what is purportedy America's favorite theme park.

(Soon to be downgraded to "amusement park").

Once again here we are...and I agree with Steve. Dangeling a pretty "shiny object" to thrill the crowd is no substitute for real research and theme dedication that made DL what it is. As with Steve, my view is not anti-change nor do I assume the new stuff on the island will be of poor quality. It is how the theme abandonment will affect the rest of the area.

    Ribbit...ribbit.

or as Senator Amidala would say "So this is how Disneyland dies, to thunderous applause." (She'd say it from Tomorrowland of course)
