Arrow How Are You Going To React To Someone Jumping The Rails To JUMP Into The Lagoon?

This should be a fun-ish thread.

I would of course take pictures and just stand in shock as the Cast Members react and the ride is shut down and people are screaming and hollering and gasping.

    It'll happen.

Well, that's why they had to take the mermaids out way back when. It's the same sort of "Geez, what a suicidal moron" reaction you get from an out-of-bounds guest on any attraction.

Pardon my ignorance but who or what is Darla AA?
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

I am sure it will happen eventually, it has happened at most major attractions that include water such as RoA, Bellagio fountains, not sure about DCA lagoon, and also Reflection lake at knotts.

You could say the same thing about any attraction at Disneyland. What's to stop someone from jumping out of the boat in Pirates? Standing up on Splash Mountain? This isn't a scenario that should be devoted to the lagoon.

The Submarine Voyage opened in 1959. The lagoon has been there ever since and I've never heard of a guest jumping into it. That pretty much marks you for banishment from Disneyland. So who cares if a guest does something stupid and dangers themselves? They're going to get theirs.

    Darla, the character in Nemo.

She's an AA in the lagoon.

I would stand in shock, then laugh. Then wish I could get out of the heat too.

As already mentioned, young guys in lust would jump into the lagoon in search of hooking up with the smiling (live) mermaids which hung out in the lagoon during the early years.

    I miss those mermaids!

If it's anything like Jungle water, it would have to get pretty damn hot before I'd even consider going in. I don't know everything that goes into that water, but I know enough that I never want any contact with it.

I didn't say it never happened - I said I'd never heard of it.

In any sense, the only mention I could find of "young guys in lust" jumping into the lagoon was on DisneyLies. If it were true that'd be a pretty interesting piece of Disneyland history, but I do think it's just an urban legend.

Is there some sort of source you have? I'd really like to see it if you do.

Re: How Are You Going To React To Someone Jumping The Rails To JUMP Into The Lagoon?

I've seen sombody jump off the Mark Twain. I think there will be tons of people who jump into the lagoon. The only problem is after the sub passes over there smashed corpse, will they have to refilter all the blood out of the water and drain the lagoon? Or could they remove the peices of the body while the lagoon is still full? I dont want some idiot ruining my chances of riding anytime soon.
