Which DLR Rides Provide The Best Views Of The Parks At Night?
The Disneyland Resort is a shimmering beautiful place after dusk. Everything just seems to be a little more dramatic and magical.
When Nightime settles in, do you enjoy a panoramic tour of Disneyland by hopping aboard the railroad? How about enjoying the scenic vista that surrounds the Mark Twain as it navigates the Rivers of america? Perhaps your senses are delighted when you take an arial view from on high...from the Matterhorn or Space Mountain.
DCA's Sun Wheel, Grizzly River Run, TOT, and California Screamin' certainly present a bird's eye view. One can even see Disneyland attractions from some of the elevated rides at it;s sister park.
Tell me what your favorite rides are beneath the starry sky...and the views that impress you the most.

A special thanks to whichever mod it is that merged the threads. I was up wayyyyy too late last night, and accidentally started this thread in the Disneyland Paris resort forum. Me bad.

Where variety is concerned, it's hard to trump the panoramic views to be enjoyed from the Disneyland Railroad and Monorails. From the Matterhorn Bobsled's, one can observe with a heightened perspective the spectacle of fireworks exploding with colorful brilliance all around.
From Grizzly Peak, a breathtaking viiew is awarded the onlooker...both of DCA and even parts of Disneyland.

I wish they'd put that hole back in at the top of the matterhorn lift hills.

i voted other becuase i absoluetly love the nighttime view of the parks from ToT, altho its a brief view.
but it is.....breathtaking ;)

It doesn't matter to me how long the view is, one breathtaking moment is good enough for me. I agree with elly, I love the ToT view. Not a big fan of the nightime RR view though. When it comes to parades though, nothing beats Alice and Wonderland.

Edit: Nevermind. I found it, but I think it should be it's own choice. I think it's hands down the best. :)

You and me both, BassBone. It's a sgnature DL landmark of sorts. That, plus I'd like to see another ride of some sort travel through the caverness mountain again, someday.

Now, that's a terrific idea. Watching the parade would be a unique experience from an Alice caterpillar as it careens down the giant garden plants.

If I had had sense enough to take a spin on the Sunwheel, I would likely be in are of the view just like you. But....NOOOOOOOOOO! I always get so busy doing other things that the ride just seems to get put on the back burner time and time again. :blush:

The matterhorn has often been my vantage point. Didn't even think about mounting a log during the fireworks display. that;s definitely on my future itinerary. :thumbup:

i remember goin on the matterhorn at night it was totally awesome because at the top you can disneyland at night.

If you are on the side of the maliboomer that faces the lake it is a great view! And it lasts a little longer than the Tot since you can see the view all the way down.

Sunwheel is the best. God, I haven't been on that in over a year I think. Crazy at first with the rocking. I was scared ****less when I went on that for the first time. :lmao:
