POSSIBLE last minute trip - NEED HELP

Ok - my son turns 12 on June 8th. I was hopping to go but didn't have a ton of extra money (ok - barely any extra money). However I got lucky and I have friends going down that Friday and staying until Sunday. (Short trip - but free car ride for me.)

I need to find the CHEAPEST place to stay for FRI and SAT nights. My friends have family to stay with but there isn't room for us. (Heck We would sleep in the car if we could - maybe I will ask)

I also need to know the exact price it would cost to get into the park on SATURDAY - JUNE 9. We have Deluxe APs but can't get in on Saturdays...

I think to upgrade to premium passes would cost $120 so that is not possible. UNLESS buying that ONE SATURDAY ends up being very close to that price.


SO - TWO THINGS :
~~Price of one day ticket with Deluxe APs
~~Cheapest place to stay for two nights


If it gets to be too much money then we will just have to pass on the whole thing - and wait until October when I am planning a week's trip to DL.

Blockout day passes are $30 and you can get a hotel across the street for $54 a night. Look at the Parkside Inn and Suites Maingate through Orbits.com.

As far as places close to the park - my sister and I stayed at the Parkside Inn and Suites - it's pretty close and pretty cheap. But don't expect much. It was the kind of place that was good for going home to sleep. No frills.

Well, we got to go for my birthday back in Feb. (I turned 30) and we were hopping that since we had APs we would be able to go back more often...

If we take this trip we will STILL go in October - that plan is set in stone !!!

that is the one I was talking about. Right now Orbitz will also give you and additional 15% off for booking two nights.

Finding a "cheap" hotel is probably best researched using travelocity, orbitz, or hotels.com; however at this late date, with all the crowds expected for Nemo and Pirate's Lair, I doubt any will be cheap. It was $25.00 to enter the Park on a blackout date last time I had to do it. But again, a better source is the Official DL Website for AP questions. October would be nice...think about it...Halloween decorations, and Haunted Mansion Holiday as well...

Hi, I think you guys will have a blast!!! I LOVE last minute trips like this, they are often the best ones.

For your hotel, I strongly encourage you to shop around. I LOVE priceline for naming your price. To use it, first go to www.biddingfortravel.com and look at the Disneyland area hotels to get an idea of what bidders are getting for hotels in the area.

Then, go to priceline.com and look for the 'name my price for travel' option on the right side of the page. Select the area you want, and bid for your hotel. You will do great.

Do you wish to stay near the hotel (across the street) or can you ride the shuttle?

Shuttle is fine - but my friends will pick us up - or they can park at our hotel and then shuttle with us.

I just checked Priceline for you. They are offering close hotels for around $65

biddingfortravel.com is reporting rooms at the Crowne Plaza for $50 on the bidding side of the site.

Well, it seems like you really should wait to take this trip. I know you appear to have your heart set on it but it's pretty obvious you are not in a financial situation to go at this time. I mean youre willing to sleep in your car for petes sake!

Use the money you have saved up and buy your son a nice gift or two. I'm sure he will understand that you can go to Disneyland later on when your passes will allow you to enter the park for free.
