Pirate's Lair: how will DL transport the crowds?

Those two little rafts they've been using all these years aren't going to be able to handle the new crowds of visitors to TSI. Have they developed a more efficient way to transport people?

I wouldn't imagine the island's capacity to be great enough to handle anything more by the way of transportation island. Apart from physical space, the very few restrooms on the island makes it limited as well.

Surely the island must have a capacity. For a while, will there actually be "lines" to get to the island?

Oh yea there will be, and I bet they will be pretty bad to.

I believe they have recently set up ropes for the line.

Other than properly staffing the rafts? That's about it.

They're going to use that secret tunnel under the River.

But the rafts are new, improved, and super better. They have pirate flags and names!

They are testing this system now.

Standing in line for the rafts is to be expected and once there...it's a PIRATE ADVENTURE baby!

Any idea what IS CAPACITY on TSI?

There's no way to enforce a time limit on the island...so the line could be VERY slow going eh?

I would suggest building a drawbrige. Theme it pirate-like and start it in NOS.

I vote for the "Pirate Catapult" to get guests on and off the island.

Catapult? C'mon, that's wimpy! What's more synonymous with a pirate than a cannon? Human cannonballs, fired from the bridge over POTC onto the island . . . it's the only way to go!

Re: Pirate's Lair: how will DL transport the crowds?

A draw bridge would be awesome, but wouldn't that be a problem..I mean, all of the boats go by pretty often many times through out the day, that would be hard to have it down for 30-45 mins, raise it and so on...if it were a real river, it wouldn't have to go up and down that often. NOW, if they build a SUPER suspenion bridge that arcs over the river enough for the boats to pass under, that would be awesome.
