1st: Was I the only who cheered when the ride sounds made the cameo in the movie? Freakin' awesome.

B: With Pirates Lair opening today with all the Davy Jones stuff, and AWE basically ridding Jones of the world, do you think Disney took the right route (now not only does the ride and movie storyline not fit... but the island's as well :: speculation, until I actually visit it: though that has never stopped Disney before :: cough:: Star Tours :: cough, cough::

3d: At the end of the film when they set up the Fountain of Youth storyline (if you're in any denial that a 4th film will be made... yeah, come back to reality), I wonder if the fountain next to HM will be transformed (note: that is the only place that I've seen Sparrow at lately).

Side note - did anyone notice that Barbossa quoted like 5 lines that the AA skull says before the first drop on the attraction???? Could Barbossa be the skull narrating on the attraction???? Just a theory-

right after they go down the huge waterfall, everything that you hear when the screen's black is straight out of the ride.

The quotes from the film were awesome!

I hope they don't alter the fountain that we have...I'd rather they would (if it happens) place it on the island. That fountain matches HM more.

As for Davy Jones...well, I think it's fine that the island has things involving him (I'd be rather disappointed if it didn't). Because in the original lore, it's Davy Jones locker...Davy Jones in in the PotC attraction, he was from the beginning before the films came along. It's not as edgy to say that it's Will's heart beating in the dead man's chest...more sad than creepy. Davy Jones had a lot to do with the second and third films, so I think it's fine. It's not like the character will disappear from everyone's memory.

Yes, we got a big kick out of hearing the ride sounds during that dark part. Very cool.

References to the ride were awesome. People didn't seem to get it, though. They all left before the credits ended! You have to stay during a Pirates movie! Lots of possibilities for a #4 and more to see at the park. Can't wait to see what's next.

I cheered when they played the audio from the ride. That was amazing. I would have paid to see the movie if that was all it was.

Also, I must confess that the Fountain of Youth concept makes me...maybe a little bit excited about the concept of a fourth film.

I was one of the naysayers who said it will just be worse and so on, but a hunt for the Fountain of Youth might be a great way to revert back to the magic the first film had.

I think what the second and third films lacked was a good old fashioned treasure hunt, and thats what the Fountain of Youth could be.

I gasped and clapped my hands to my mouth when they started playing the ride audio. And old ride audio! That the movie makeover replaced! It was amazing. (Though there was part of me that thought that they were going to say that Davey Jones' locker was the ride, which would have been deeply lame. Glad they didn't go there.)

Jack seems to split his time between the HM fountain and the Courtyard of Angels. Though now that the island is open, it wouldn't surprise me if he no longer shows up on the mainland except in transit.
