Sunday before Memorial Day at Dland?

Hi, who has been to the park on Sunday (or day) before Memorial day? Is it as crowded as say Thanksgiving or Christmas? If any MC'ers have been in contact with anyone at the park today (5-27-07) could you please provide a "how crowded is the park" update?
I was thinking of heading down there today but have never been on a Memorial day weekend, just wondering what the experts have to say
    Thanks

It was a zoo yesterday, Saturday, 5/26/07. One of the busiest Saturdays I have seen in a while. My guess is it will be VERY busy all weekend especially with TSI reopening two days ago.

I was there on friday. I would have considered it a moderate crowd. Not too busy. But then again, I left around 2 pm.

We are strongly considering going tomorrow. May be a big mistake. I hope not. We don't have to go on rides as it is always nice to just be in the park.

What about this week following Monday? Will there be big crowds the rest of this week and next?

It is a little late to update you on the crowds today, but I was there and the crowds were ok in the morning - after noon it got a bit more busy but not too awful. Although since I had been there since 9 am I pretty much went on most rides I wanted to early in the day.

Thanks for the update Liz, I am surprised it was not "Super" packed. I wonder if everyone thought it was going to be so busy that they stayed away, tomorrow might be way packed if that was the case, (since people might figure Monday would be less busy then Sunday on the holiday weekend) We shall see!

I think what also helped keep the crowds down was that all Annual Passports were blocked - except for Premium.

I think it's safe to say at least from now on through the end of summer...prepare for "very crowded" and be pleasantly surprised if it's not...

I was there on Sat and it wasn't that bad at all. When I was at New Orlean Squad to go to Hunted Manison the line to Pirates wasn't a line it end at the door way of Pirates and for Mansion it said a 25 mintue wait I had look at my watch and it was 4:30 when I got to the door it was 4:45 so it was a 15 minutes wait. So DLR wasn't pack at all sat.

Re: Sunday before Memorial Day at Dland?

Sunday's crowd: Arrived around 1:00pm and parked at Mickey and Friends level- Donald Duck. For a 3 day weekend and Sunday I didn't think it was too busy. wait times:
    Splash Mountain....75 Minutes
    Space mountain....45 Minutes
    Haunted mansion...20 minutes
Big Thunder MTN...40 minutes (Less I think)
Pirates.................45 minutes.(Lines were running in front of entrance.
    Matterhorn...........Lines extended almost touch right/left sides..Yikes..
Jungle cruise........Lines were going upstairs. (not sure how long in regards to time.)
Pirates Island.......Hardly any line at all.
    Autopia...............25 Minutes
    Indiana Jones......50 Minutes
Not sure if that helps but that's it...Hope it helps..I would say go and have fun..One thing for sure: Village House, Buzz lightyear eating place were packed around 3ish. Funny thing is pizza port was empty with no wait.(wonder why??)
