I like the new one because it's change. They always have the castle lit like the top one. The new scheme is different and changes things around a bit.

I gotta go with the old one here. I think it better shows off the new paint job. The new lighting really seems to wash out a lot of the color.

Agreed, I prefer the "natural" lighting to the colored. That paint job is too gorgeous to get overwhelmed by fuscia LEDs. But the new lighting isn't awful or anything.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the mysterious green blinking light...

there's also lighting in the moat that rings the bases of the towers that i just noticed for the first time this evening- and it was not lit, so i assume that they'll be functioning as uplights to wash over the stonework from below. so that should solve some of your concerns?

IMHO, the "natural" lighting can be seen all day long. Why not dress it up a bit at night? Its like regular clothes for daytime, and a tux or ballgown for evening parties.

Not being a big fan of the cake frosting paint job, I have to go with the new lighting.

It really looks like the opening to Wonderful World of Disney, and that is soooooo cool!

the lights are called colorblasts, they are small 3 color led fixtures that can mix any color much like the old red blue green projectors..the color saturation, and ability is spectacular

I HATE the way it looks. The thing practically casts a pink shadow all the way over to Splash Mountain. The whole thing looks like a teenagers attempt at getting his car to look "2 fast 2 furious" cool by putting neon effects under his car. What next, spinner hub caps on the turrets? It's all show and no go and cheapens the whole park.

Really. in my opinion, it's hideous.

It looks great, especially during the fireworks when the colors change. I like it a lot!

I have to go with the new lighting. Seems to give the castle more "dimension" than the old lights did.

The new lighting is hideous. It looks like Barbie's Dream House was placed near the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant.

Ok, I'm probably going to be ...disliked for this but I am not a fan of the pastels. It looks kinda gaudy to me. THe pictures are beautiful, but the coloring.......
