    Re: Memorial Day At Disneyland

And now the final three videos. These show part of the Flag Retreat ceremony held everyday at Disneyland at 4:30 PM. I used my camera and there was not a lot of memory left on the stick, that is why it is not the whole ceremony.

Part 1 The band approaching the flag area and getting into position while playing.

Part 2 The lowering of the flag. The people standing around the flag pole are members of or veterans of the various armed forces.

    Part 3 The finale.

None of these videos are more than two minutes long, but they will give you some idea of what goes on. It is very nice and moving. Sometimes the Dapper Dans sing but they did not on Monday.

Too bad the Dapper Dans weren't singing. Their arrangement of God Bless America is gorgeous. Makes me tear up every time.

Yes, I was disappointed they weren't there, and on Memorial Day too. I have never heard their entire program. I only heard the end of this arrangement once and the little I heard was amazing. We all got to sing it though

Maybe Jack needs a rubber pole.

Anyhoo, love all the pictures. You know how to capture the DL experience well.
Note to self: Go on Memorial day. Now watch, next year the park will be packed.

New Year's Day, in my experience, hasn't been too busy in the past either. That may have changed in the last few years, though.

We were really surprised at how light the crowds were! We were there Wed - Sat and didn't have more than a 15 minute wait on any ride - including Pirates, Splash, HM and Indy!

We also were there Memorial day and were pleasantly surprised by the lack of long lines. We just got home so have to get some rest before loading the pictures and doing a trip report. Your pictures are great.

Unfortunately no we did not get to see him take a bath in the ROA. I think we were on Splash getting our showers in then.

    Re: Memorial Day At Disneyland

I am at work and using one of the computer here to check on things. My computer has been broken since last Sunday so that's why no posts from em and few today as it is work after all and I have to be careful. Great report but the computer here will not play the videos so I will have to wait until the computer at home is up and running again, soon I hope. I feel so disconnected without it.
