    Disneyland just called!!!!!

I just got a message on my machine from Disneyland remnding me to get to the park really early since I have reservations at the BB. They are expecting large crowds (DUH) and they want to be sure I get in the park that day....my reservations are at 11:40am

I know it will be busy and it is likely they will have to close the gates, but I just thought it was funny...I've never had Disneyland call me before

They called Disguy too, I didn't get a call but then I don't remember if I gave them my old phone number or cell #

Man I had NO IDEA it was going to be busy on the 17th, what's up with that!

I'm sure they're calling everyone. It was meant as no disrespect to your intimate knowledge of DL and the 17th. That said, if you were planning to stroll up to the entrance at 11AM expecting to get in regardless of the crowds because of your BB reservation, then you have been duly notified that the Fire Marshal's order takes precedence.

    hahahaha

I'm just hoping that the majority of people were convinced that May 5 was the actual birthday and forget about July 17.

I know it's not even worth hoping for, but hey- I can dream right?

No, That was WDW's 50th birthday.

Which makes me wonder, how come they were celebrating their
100th Birthday a couple years ago?

I too received a call for Disney Dining about my 11:30 AM BB reservation on the 17th.

The CM was very nice and said that they are expecting entrance to the park to close early. Said to make sure that we are in the park long before the reservation time.

If Disney is calling you know it's going to be nuts.

BTW, the couple I asked to join me decided they don't want to eat at 11:30 so I have space for 2. Let me know if you want to join us.

WDW's 50th birthday will be on October 1, 2021 and the celebration a few years ago was the "100 Years of Magic" which would have marked Walt Disney's 100th birthday (correct me if I'm wrong)

    Thumbs up

Are any of you already part of the 50th Anniversary Vacation package? A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour is already included and I posted the answers I found out here:
    http://www.micechat.com/showthread.php?t=6467
But I also made reservations for Balcony seating for the Dessert Buffet of Fantasmic! and the From Imagination to Celebration tour (fireworks time).
However, one the castmembers who was helping make reservations and finding out the answers I needed for the A Walk in Walt's Footsteps and the 50th Anniversary vacation package did tell me that DISNEY HOTEL GUESTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED ENTRANCE to the park if they don't get there early. She said people were lining up as early as 3am on May 5th and DL was expecting the same. But she didn't give any details on actual start time and places for acceptable lining up for DL.
See you guys on the 17th!
