Disneyland tickets by mail

I have admission tickets for my upcoming trip that came by mail from Disney. I noticed that they do not have the magnetic stripe used by the fastpass system on them.

Does that imply that I cannot go directly to the entrance gate with these? Will they be converted at the gate or do I need to stop by a ticket booth first?

Re: Disneyland tickets by mail

Do the tickets have a bar code? I used to work at the Disney Store and we received 4 tickets (2 in the summer and 2 for the holidays) by mail. The tickets were paper and had a bar code on the back. The bar code is what the fast pass read.
Can anyone else confirm?

Re: Disneyland tickets by mail

We ordered ours thorugh disneyland. com and received them in the mail (about a week later) for our last trip (about 2 weeks ago). They were paper tickets. They did have a barcode on the back. We went right through the gates just like everyone else. They just scan the barcode and they worked just fine in the fast pass machines.

Interesting. I had always assumed it was the magnetic strip.

It would be fairly simple to scan/print a copy of the bar code. I must say the hacker in me is intrigued...... But that would be wrong.

But, how would that help? Once you used the regular ticket, it would show its been used, so you still couldn't get more?

You need to think a bit more out of the box.
