Racing for the subs? Main St. or Monorail?

Planning to make a dash for the subs right when the park opens sometime this summer?

Which do you think is faster, waiting at the front gate or taking the Monorail?

Front gate, but I have nothing to back that other than a hunch. I think with the load/unload time of the Mono, you would be better off doing a power walk.

my feeling is the monorail because it exits right by the subs. plus, people entering the main gate have to walk/run all the way over to the subs in tomorrowland. with the monorail, you're already there.

of course, i could be wrong! i only make it to DL once a year for five days, so i'm no expert! it's only how i personally perceive the situation
    I'd rather be at Disneyland

Don't you have to be a hotel guest to get on the monorail at opening anyways?

only on early entry days. if i'm remembering correctly, they let everyone on the monorail at opening regardless of if you are a hotel guest or not.

Interesting, the GCH entrance to DCA won't let you enter through there until 12 and I just assumed the monorail did the same type of thing.

Optimal choice is to wait until mid-september, midweek.

I would imagine waiting at the gates, then booking it (without runing) to TOmorrowland...

I will be using my own personal Nemo CM uniform to get to the front of the line. Than I plan to usher ppl on the subs than when its time for my "break," I slip into a sub...and am never heard from again...until the next attraction comes my way.

Re: Racing for the subs? Main St. or Monorail?

When does the first Monorail leave DTD? If it arrives at the TL station right at park opening then it may be a better bet (but then what if you have to stop and wait for a duck).

Honestly even if I was the first person at the rope and had a clear path to the subs at opening I would still expect a 60 minute wait when I get there.

the monorail leaves early and arrives at the tomorrowland station before the park is open, this happens almost everyday, they dont open the doors until they get the call that the park is open, so I would suggest the monorail, it's quick in the morning, remember...there are two monorails now, they move quick to keep them both running on time.

Just curious, and please forgive my ignorance as I haven't been to the park in a year and don't know. Where exactly is the entrance to the subs. WOuld one go through tomorrowland? Around the Matterhorn? The 2 visits I had the whole area was walled off

How does the Monorail work for disabled access? We haven't been on it for a few years. I am wondering if it would be easier to do it that way instead of trying to drive a wheelchair at the speed of light. Also, can you use early entry on the Monorail?
