Hey my friend called me from Disneyland today and they let her on and she did NOT win a free preview so go and see if you get lucky. They let her and her friends on since they all has annual passports. Weird. How many people are going on Monday? My husband and I are. We are staying in a hotel the night before too so I can come to my first MiceChat meet. I am getting excited to meet those that are there as well as riding the subs on Monday.

They do!? I wanna see a video of them moving, Even though they didn't move when I was on it, they scared the crud out of my brother, maybe because they were soo close to the sub when they light up.

Yeah the effect is really convinging to be honest with you. Even after I knew that they were drybox's, I questioned if the whole thing was under water. Thats how immersive it is. You really can't tell at all.

This is 're-used' by people constantly. First, not every attraction must be accessible - that is a myth. Second, in the case of Nemo, they did do an accommodation for disabled people (the non-sub show building). Third, with the massive overhaul they did (including extending the show building) would likely negate any grandfather they had. When you make 'significant renovations', you lose your grandfather when it comes to ADA compliance.

I have friends who won the sweepstakes for Wednesday night right before closing... But when they went to get in line, they said the subs had been broken for a while and the people who were supposed to go at 8 were still waiting in line... YIKES!

Needless to say, they decided not to wait in line....

I said...Dang this looks too good to be true...

I did see some people this morning, when it wasn't busy, ask if they could ride... the guy said "do you have an annual pass"? When they said yes and showed it, he said "come on in". It's worth a try when they're not busy, and it never hurts to ask.

They renovated the attraction itself but the actual Submarines remained untouched and that is why they are still grandfathered.

The show building was renovated, yes. The submarines, the addition of two seats notwithstanding, and the track are all unchanged.
