Is there a possibilty of SUBS ssoft opening this weekend?

Some friends coming into town and they want to go to Disneyland.

What are the chances that the subs will have a soft opening the weekend before the grand opening?

There's no official soft opening but they've been running CM previews throughout the week. I heard several guests explaining that they happened to be waiting around the attraction or had spoken to a Nemo CM and they were let on the attraction.

Sooooo.... talk to the CMs at the attraction. Be very, very nice, and if their CM preview line is dwindling they very well may let you board.

I remember the Monsters Inc. soft opening the week before actual open. So I wouldn't be that surprised if Nemo did have soft openings.

You didn't hear this from me, but if you happen to see a cm in the YOAMD's outfit... ask for a nemo ticket and they will give you one. They were giving them out this weekend and are going to the next few days. :^)

Just because there have been reports that some non-cast members have been riding during the cast member preview doesn't mean you should head to the park EXPECTING to ride. Most of those guests rode on Saturday, but it WAS NOT happening tonight (Sunday) nor could it have happened on Friday.

It all depends on the cast member queue.

Um..correct me if this is an extenuating circumstance, but Dream Squad CMs cannot give anything out to guests. It's a very specific, very strict set of rules they must follow when handing out any sort of YOMD prize.

The Nemo tickets (from what the contest rules page says), are not part of the offical giveaway, because they have no cash value. So yes, Disney can control the handouts as they wish.

The only instances I heard of random guests getting to ride during previews were those invited by Nemo CMs, not Dream Squadders, and none of those invited guests were the ones who walked up and asked to ride. And this was from a Nemo lead.

I doubt there will be time for soft openings. The timetable for the pre-opening stuff is pretty tight. Don't get your hopes up.

I didn't hear anything. I saw Dream Squadders giving out passes with my own eyes.

I doubt it as I have Cast member preview tickets for Saturday. So I hope that its not open to normal guests haha I dont want a huge line and would be a waste of my time and ticket.

A local San Diego radio station (93.3) is giving away passes to DL this week good on Saturday the 9th INCLUDING a ride on Nemo. I forget the time the rides were for, but it was the morning. So do not expect to ride it while that is going on.

Last year Pirates was to re-open on a Monday.

CMs came to this very forum and swore up and down there would be ZERO soft openings and NO ONE would get on the ride before Monday.

We rode it on Sunday on a Soft Opening.

My cousin went yesterday and said they were allowing ap holders to get in line w/ 1 friend. Not sure if she was pulling my leg though.

If anyone else has seen/experienced this firsthand, please let me know. My mom and I may make the trek (of about an hour) tomorrow if it's a serious possibility. I won't get my hopes up, and if I do end up going but aren't able to ride, I won't be terribly disappointed (I mean come on...Disneyland) but I would feel pretty bad for her for driving so far. Thanks!
