    Captain EO Question?

Besides the 3-D factor, did Captain EO have any 4-D effects outside of the screen?

"Captain EO" did feature some practical in-theatre effects such as: LASER's; smoke and other atmospherics; and, fiber optics embedded in the screens.

    Re: Captain EO Question?

The main difference between Capt EO and the movies there today are that you couldn't wait to see it again...HISTA just doesn't do that for me. Now...when I first saw it in Florida it had an awesome preshow put on by Kodak and then after the show you went to see the Kodak photo contest winners....great pre/post show.

Of course...Capt EO was pre-scary M. Jackson....I don't think it would go over now at all.

That song at the end was such a catchy tune. I can still hear it in my head.

YES. There were lights that panned the audience, and a red warning light that flashed.

I will confirm the comments by PragmaticIdealist. The smoke did seem to get smaller and smaller each year after the movie came out.

I remember it was 4-D. Family Guy even has proof! He would jump out of the screen and steal little boys... I'm sorry, even though Captain EO was an amazing show. That part on Family Guy was hilarious!
