Issue # 45 features the art of Pirates of the Caribbean, an interview with Disney Legend Alice Davis about her contributions to Disneyland, Showcase "mailables" i.e. postcards, maps, guides, etc., Tomorrowland's "Clock of the World", and more.



















More high quality color photos than I've ever seen... and I go all the way back to issue #6.

Hat's off to Jack Janzen. I wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep the ol' E-Ticket going after his brother Leon's untimely death, but he's outdone himself with this issue!!

Oh man! I can't wait to get mine. I just renewed a few days ago, so I should have it by this week. I'm thrilled to see Alice Davis get some recognition on her own - she's phenomenal.

I'd love a subscription, but I'm afraid it would ruin one of my favorite Disneyland traditions, peaking inside Disneyana on my initial walk down Main Street to see if the new E-Ticket has arrived. Sounds crazy, but I would miss that terribly. It's great that Jack Janzen has been able to continue this wonderful magazine.

Seems like they just did a pirates issue. I was hoping for something a little different, like a ride that they haven't documented yet.

Well, looks like the issue with my models in it will be going off the shelf soon.

I've been a big fan of E-Ticket since their first issue and still am. However, I believe they got the caption wrong for that picture. When I viewed this same series of photos of Walt with the pirates at the Disney Photo Archives one time many years ago (back when they were located down in the basement of the Roy O. Disney building), they were dated late 1966...not 1965.

In addition to that, I'm pretty sure the pirates figures weren't anywhere near that complete in November of 1965. Plus, one other photo from that same day and series (the last on the roll of film, I was told) had always been touted as the last known photo of Walt taken at WED:



...and was in fact (until they redid the Trophy Room a few years ago and added more)...the only photo of Walt up in Club 33. And the Club staff was likewise trained to tout it as the last photo.

As always...I could be wrong. But those are my recollections of that series of photos.

Even if I'm right...still a great issue! Heck... practically every magazine has factual errors somewhere in it.

I think your right Ken. Walt's appearance changed dramatically in 1966. Here is a picture of Walt taken at Mineral King in 1966. He looks much older than he did in earlier pictures taken of him.
