DLR June 10, 2007: Celebrities Abound!

Here is my mini TR:

I stopped by the DLR today to meet some internet friends, some real life friends and to check out the sub happennings for the day. We arrived at the park around 4 and parked on the top level. As we were walking in we saw Sean Astin, Shia Lebouf, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette! It was so cool!! I actually kind of ran into David Arquette. We met up with some friends in Fantasyland and then saw Marisa Hartigay, Geena Davis and Melissa Joan Hart. Later in DCA we saw Holly Robinson Peete heading to Soarin'. It is pretty easy to find the celebrities walking around since they are accompanied by one of the plaid guides.

The park was crowded, but tolerable. Some people were upset that they didn't have more signs saying that Tomorrowland was closing early.

I met up with some people I met through another board (one is scoffey from here) and we had a great time.

Celebrity today were NOTHING like Pirates, but it was neat that they were at least not the same people (mostly).

I was happy to see Penelope Ann Miller today.

While working on Main St. I saw "Link the Sink"!!!! Otherwise known as Lincoln B. from Prison Break...

That's a pretty impressive list of celebrities for one day's visit! Considering it wasn't a movie premire like Pirates (which of course would draw so many stars), that's pretty cool! You didn't happen to snap any pictures of any of the celebs, did ya? Then again, practically running into David Arquette is enough of a memento for the day, huh? Lucky brat.

Do we really need to have Micechat-arazzi ?

Why not let these people enjoy their time at Disneyland without being subject to being photographed everywhere they are and in everything they do ?

If they're actually at the public event where the media is, fine, go ahead.

But if they're on their own - even if it's with a Disney host for their security - why not leave them alone.

If you absolutely have to take a photo for your own satisfaction, why not just keep it private ?

I didn't take any pictures. These people were just walking around DL with their families, not on a red/blue carpet, so I didn't want to bother them. It also wasn't that big of a deal to me to have pictures of them.

And yes, DaddyB, it was nothing like the Pirates premiere, but I also slept in until 9 and didn't get to the park until 4!!!
