    AP Hotel deals for October?

I called Disney travel today to find out what types of hotel perks I could get if I was an APer (not local, so buying an AP is not a no-brainer)...

In addtion to standard 10% off (which is = to AAA, which we have), the agent told me that about 3 months out, they will open up very reduced rates for APers at the DLR hotels if their inventory allows (she said as low as $150/night).

I would love to stay at the DL hotel if I can swing that kind of rate. Do any of you have an idea if those types of rates pop up in October? We're looking at Oct 24 - 28.

    Thanks for your help!

Looking into my crystal ball... the answer is...

    ... cloudy.

Best thing to do is wait and see, call Walt Disney Travel back when they suggested you to. Which was three months out.

Depending on conventions and stuff that are scheduled (they are year-around and random), what happens one year might not happen the year after.

Talking Re: AP Hotel deals for October?

Did u do the price comparison between packages vs. AP rates and booking though AAA for lodging only as October is off season? I may not be making sense. However, let me also tell you another deal a gf and I did. I travel on business on a regular basis each month...95% drive travel and 5% air travel in any given 12 month period. In 2004 I got a Hilton HHonors membership....not their CC. In 2005, I used 50,000 reward points each for my gf and I to get 3 day park hopper passes....so zero $ out of pocket there. Then I used free nights for us to stay on the conceiere (sic) floor at the Anaheim Hilton...we had a corner suite with an excellent view of the park at no cost. Then we upgraded those 3 day park hopper passports to AP's @ only $90.00 ea!!! If you or a significant other doesn't do much travel for work, let me recommend their CC because you can choose rewards with Hilton....miles & points, or miles & miles, or points & points. It didn't take me long to get to a Diamond VIP level, which multiplies points faster.

Might be a little too complicated. Remember, best idea is "KISS"!
