I am back on the left coast again. I arrived in LA on the 10th, but I had personal matters that kept me from being at DL on the morning of the 11th. The crowds kept me away that evening and then I had more stuff to deal with earlier today. So, once I finally found some free time I headed to the park and here are a few of the pics.
Wait times did not appear to be too bad.
It looks worse than it actually is. (At least that's what I keep hearing. I did not brave the lines today). The line at 7pm went to just short of the old motorboat cruise area and that was it.
It's nice to know you can still see a sea serpent without riding a sub. At least I think it's a sea serpent.
I ate dinner at Rancho del Zocalo. After I sat down I noticed that Tony Baxter was sitting at the table next to me along with what appeared to be two business acquaintances. I overheard, without trying to eavesdrop, bits and pieces of his conversation. I am thrilled to know that Tony Baxter is not just an imagineer, he is also a true Disney fan. I waited for them to leave the table and I then went and thanked him for all of his hard work on the subs. I asked to take his picture and this is what I got. I had the focus set to continuous so the low light focus assist was turned off. I was not about to blind him again, so this will have to do. Unlike Ed Grier, Tony Baxter actually spends time in the park so I might get another chance.
No, this is not to point out a broken neon light. It's just a coincidence. It would be nice if they fixed it though.
Anyone need a neon Mickey pic? Here ya go.
This pic was taken at 11:50. The line did not even go back to this point.
Three different exposures to choose from.
4 exposure choices this time.
I just can't decide which I like better, so once again I will post both exposures.
And this one, the last one by conincidence, is my favorite one of the night.
So, that's it for now. More tomorrow (maybe) and then Thursday and Friday for sure.
See ya real soon!
Holy cow! It's 3:44 in the morning! It's also 6:44 in Orlando. My sleep schedule is SOOOO messed up.
