Anyone know what the temps will be like at night in mid-July?
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

I'm affraid I don't understand. I'm not as hardcore as many of you, and I don't mean any offense at all, but why are you getting in line at 3,4,5,6am to go to the park that opens at 8am? Do they limit the number of people going into the park and not let people in after a certain number is reached? It would make sense in that case. And did this happen on the 5th? What do they tell you if they close it due to limit at the gate, can you wait until somebody leaves or how does that work?

The park has a capacity limit of about 78000-80000. As they near that number, they will stop selling tickets, then they will stop allowing new admissions, and finally they will cease all entries/reentries. Once the Fire Marshall closes the park, they will allow people in (not 1 for 1, but on an hourly type basis) based on people leaving. They did not reach capacity on the 5th. I've only seen capacity crowds during Christmas break and summer time. But I have a feeling it will happen (by noon) on the 17th.

From all that i have read it seems TDA shot thier load on the 5th of May, and serously underestimated the 17th of July. It will be CROWED, but there might not be any great things happening that day Free Cupcakes or being a zombie all day from lack of sleep? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

The point of lining up is to line up. Obviously anyone who gets there before 9am is GOING to get in, that's not the point. It's about sharing the event with other hardcore fans.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I just got to thinking, I know my son, he won't exist waiting from 4 or 6am without food. Guess I need to think about packing snacks.

Anyone surprised by the number of hotel rooms still available in the area? Maybe its cause they've steepened the price (c'mon, Park Vue Inn, $300??? I have a room booked there for $62 back in Jan... Probably going to cancel it as we are staying somewhere else... Booked it when I was looking for the best spot.)

Hi there. I'm new to this site, but a longtime Disneyland fan. Hope to meet some you early in line. Looking forward to a great trip. I'm traveling solo, so hoping to find some cool people to hang out with - I'm a past WDW castmember still living in Orlando, I've graduated from the Liberty Square hot dog cart to being an architect.

For those puzzled by our outragous plan of being there at midnight...there is a specialness about spending time celebrating and anticipating with others who share your interests. Besides, its not like we are camping three months in advance to see a MOVIE (although in my younger years i camped for a week to see a certain group on Jay Leno...)
