Sad R.I.P. Fort Wilderness

Dearly beloved, we gather here today to mourn the loss of a great icon in Disneyland's history. It's name is Fort Wilderness. It's been there through the good, seeing the events of Walt's reign, and the bad (do I have to mention Eisner again). It's been good knowing it in life, and sadly, it is time for it to die.

May ye rest in peace Fort Wilderness and continue in a better place, Disneyland Resort Heaven, run by Walt Disney himself, which we all would like to think would be the case.

Amen.

Ok now, the cocktail room is to the right.

I'm going to miss Fort Wilderness. I enjoyed going to the fort when I was young. And my son and I had lots of fun there when he was growning up.

Re: R.I.P. Fort Wilderness

My information from a very reliable source says 10pm on June 13th. I knew about the schedule a week or so ago but I didn't feel comfortable posting it.

I used to work in the Canteen at the Fort. Only a few shifts, but they were nice and quiet... away from the hustle and bustle from the mainland restaurants. Until I saw my first rat... oh my god I wanted to pee myself the thing was so huge.
