Re: What DL rides do you think should be taken out?

Astro Orbiters (from it's current location) I was fine with it on top of the peoplemover station.

Star Tours (current movie) Let's see some new videos and onboard effects sooner rather than later.

Inoventions (no more theater shows either) I would rather physicaly move through space.

Honey, I shrunk (I say bring on a small dark ride in it's place) Also while your at it, place the stairs for the entrance to Space Mountain where the entrance is now for HISTA. Like back in the day. From the water ball to the roof. Use the entire back area around HISTA (space fastpass and queue line entrance) for the dark ride taking HISTA's place.

Remove Gadit's Go-Coaster and Chip-n-Dale's Treehouse for a larger "kiddie" coaster, with a indoor "dark ride" style entrance and exit.

Expand upon Donald's Boat, and Goofy's House/Garden. More interactive.

I actually really enjoy HISTA, I don't see why people don't like it.

All of DCA minus TOT and Soarin. Even though it hasn't been built yet kill the new Toy Story ride at DCA too.

Here's my take on it. It's fun but not highly repeatable.

It's kinda like Alien Encounter for me where the suprises aren't suprises anymore (but that at least had the 'i wonder how they did that' appeal). And in HISTA, the jokes weren't that funny to begin with so they aren't funny the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time. It's kinda like going to the same office meeting time and time again. It's not the worst way to spend a few minutes but there's no real reason to do so. Comedy is a tough act and if it's not roaring funny it becomes a waste of time. There's something about HISTA that also grates on the nerves. The cheesy music, the nervous acting (though intentional), etc etc.

Captain EO is like having a favorite movie and watching it now and then on the big screen. It's just comfort food for me. And the 3D was amazing, the music was great, the special effects were fantastic, the choreography was fun to watch, and the characters and dialogue are very quotable.

Muppet Vision is my next favorite as it just makes me laugh like a stupid head no matter how many times I've seen it.

Then it's Tough to be a bug which is very entertaining and cool to see all the animatronics.

So right now, Hista just has nothing going for it that I enjoy sitting through. Just my opinion.

All you Star Tours haters I will see in the alleyway behind Main Street one at a time. Y'all're wack! As for HISTA, it's had its day. Moving on.

I think Poo should be taken out and replaced, perhaps with a show featuring animatronic bears who sing and dance.

I also think the Steve Martin movie should be replaced with an audio-animatronic show, perhaps one featuring Mr. Lincoln.

Beyond that, about 2/3'rds of ToonTown needs to be re-Imagineered into something more interactive and interesting for both children and adults.

i don't think Innoventions should be totally sacked as much as I think they should just fill it with reasons to go inside.

Either make a whole new Pooh (hehe) or get rid of it. They have too much going on for how small the ride is.

Re: What DL rides do you think should be taken out?

There's a LOT of stuff that should be taken out/removed:

    Disneyland:
    - Aladdin's Oasis, it takes up space and Tiki Room or Jungle Cruise could expand here (room isn't big enough to make a whole new ride)
    - Tarzan's Treehouse, bring back the Swiss Family!!
    - Pooh ride, they should make Hunny Hunt over here instead or at least have a proper replacement for the attraction they replaced!
    - HISTA, they have it in Epcot, so if anybody misses it dearly, go over there, its time ended long ago
    - Innoventions, they also have it in Epcot, but I guess microsoft's going to upgrade it, which is great
    - Small World, unless they upgrade it already!!
    - Autopia, unless it could be re-themed into ToonTown or Fantasyland, because it doesn't belong in Tomorrowland

I know that's a lot of rides, but it doesn't mean I hate the rides with a passion (with the exception of HISTA and Tarzan's Treehouse)... I'm just saying it either needs to be updated or ripped out to put something better in its place.

Even DCA should have some rides taken out:
    - Playhouse Disney
    - Tortilla factories, Pacific Wharf, that entire area to make room for something better
    - Bug's Land, it could've been done better (look at Mermaid Lagoon in TDS!)
    - Jumpin' Jellyfish (it belonged in TDS in Mermaid Lagoon)
    - Orange Stinger
    - Golden Zephyr
    - Mulholland Madness
    - King Triton's Carousel

I really love Paradise Pier, but it just doesn't feel Disney... it feels like a teen playground... maybe that's why I like it? In the monorail, it's described as "Paradise Pier, where high-energy adventures happen"... something like that. I'm one of the few who loved DCA even when it had SuperStar Limo and Soap Opera Bistro. I actually thought the Soap Opera Bistro was better than the Playhouse Disney thing it has now.

With all that free space (including the now-empty Millionaire building and other backstage stuff at DCA), imagine what they could do to expand the parks!

Re: What DL rides do you think should be taken out?

    In Disneyland remove...

    Space Mountain,
    Matterhorn,
    Nemo Submarine Voyage,
    Splash Mountain,
    BTMRR,
    Star Tours,
    Indiana Jones Adventure

    In DCA remove...

    TOT
    Californa Screaming
Wonder Wheel Oro whatever they call it)
    Maliboomer
    Mulholand Maddness
    Golden Zepher
    Soarin'

With those rides gone and replaced by more ride like IASW, Mark Twain and more "dark rides" they could have a great family park. Just remember, it wasn't me who asked the original question.

    Just MHO, YMMV

Re: What DL rides do you think should be taken out?

Story book land should go.Maybe replace it with a little mermaid ride. HISTA needs to go away. What they could do with that area is put up the doucmentry of walt like the one at disney-mgm studios. While I think about it also get rid of the arcade next to space mountain. Who goes into disneyland and then goes and plays pac-man. The pooh ride is ok but should be updated, the one in wdw is much better so i would say replace it with that. Star tours should defently be updated, maybe do someing like how they have rocken roller coster and do a dark coster ride with star wars. I know there is already space mountian but it dosent hurt to have more then one. Innovations sould be repaced with mission space.

Re: What DL rides do you think should be taken out?

I am going to go out on a limb and GUARANTEE that there is not enough room for an indoor coaster where Star Tours is. As for Innovations with Mission: Space...same thing...room. The M:S at EPCOT is GIGANTIC. As for Storybook Land, I don't think enough space is there either.

As for HISTA's replacement, something themed to Walt wouldn't exactly fit in Tomorrowland, but the arcade can go, I guess, but should be replaced with something useful (Cyberspace Mountain, perhaps).
