    Which musical attraction should return?

For those of us who remember (fondly, I should add) these classic attractions...

...which should come back? The Country Bears or America Sings?

Though I loved them both, my vote is with America Sings. Pop, goes the weasel!

It appears that only 6 of us are old enough to remember both attractions...

I barely remember it, but my parents had gotten the recording of America Sings, so I grew up liking the music. It shouldn't be in Tommorrowland though, but it would be cool to see America sings return, though it will never happen.

Well the thing is, I wasn't even born, when America Sings was shut down. But from what I have gathered from over the years, America Sings had alot more than Country Bears, and I think that it's alot better.

I have been on both. All 3 CBJ versions actually and I voted strongly for America Sings. That was a great great attraction and I miss it.

Wowee...it closed in 1988! Was it really so long ago? *sigh*

You know what I loved? When the room would rotate and everything would go black, except for the twinkling starscape. Boy...I loved that.

Re: Which musical attraction should return?

I loved both of these. If anyone wants to see CBJ, then go to Disneyworld because it is still there and runs during the busy seasons. As I said, I loved both of these as a kid since I wasn't too much into roller coasters as I am now. I loved going into that "star-spangled-banner-decked-out-slow-moving" building and to recall that picture in my mind reminds me of fonder memories of those glory days of Tomorrowland in the 80s. <sigh>

I loved every scene in that ride and wish they could bring it back. As most know, they took most of the characters from that and used them in Splash Mountain.

But yes it is highly unlikely that they would bring it back, especially in its original form. It would mean to either boot out Innoventions, which is a favorite among many, and place it back in its original building since it still moves. Or, place another structure of its kind somewhere on the property (which could also mean inside DCA, the land of rejected, but returned disney favorites, and the neglected stepchild.....) but there is no room in DL for another building like that.

Maybe they should relocate Innoventions to DCA and bring back either Carousel of Progress or American Sings to Tomorrowland to try to bring back some of its glory days.

Yeah, I did forget about that. Loved that twinkling starscape.

And yes, it closed in 88, to remove the characters and put them to Splash Mtn which opened in 89.

Yes, the travelling of the room was very neat. The whole concept of the audience travelling around a permanent stage was very innovative. Shall I say it, more innovative than Innoventions.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

I have a solution. Take out Golden Dreams and put America Sings in DCA.

    I'm brilliant.

Re: Which musical attraction should return?

I'm split either way on that. I like GD, though I haven't seen it in a while, and I liked the end where they're playing the music and you see all the famous californians and moments such as both lakers and dodgers winning the championships. It works for native californians who love scenes like that.

But on the other hand, as I said, I haven't seen it in a while and everytime I'm there, I pass on it. It does get old after a while and it probably hasn't been updated yet. So to remove a semi favorite to bring back a long time favorite? Hmmm

Okay...you got me there. I actually don't mind Golden Dreams, either. But I think it could be placed in smaller theater.

Maybe they could put it in HISTA. Then, when the earthquake happens in the movie, the chairs could shake...

    I REALLY am brilliant...
