How can guests get stuck in the Nose Cone? From my understanding and fascination with the monorails at Disneyland, I've come to find that the Driver cannot exit until all the guests have exited unless they're staying for a round-trip, in this case the driver leaves the door open until he or she returns...So how could guests get stuck in the Nose Cone?
There has been problems with Monorail Purple in recent weeks. I was there Tuesday and the same thing was happening. Only the front half of the train opened. Then when I got in and sat down, one of the Cast Members was saying that there was no power to the door. I think they need to take out Purple and put on Red, or something. I don't know which one was used for Nemo.
The doors utilize compressed air. It's not so much 'losing power to the door' as it is air leaking from it and needing to be drained and recycled. Fairly easy to correct, when you know what you are doing. The issue you are speaking of, however, was a day that the doors were going haywire and that did not have to do with the compression. It's been fixed as far as I know. We haven't had the issue again...yet.
