I Know this has been asked a lot...

But I'm going to ask anyways.

I am going to the park with my 3 best friends on the 5th of July (the day after my 19th Birthday...yes, I was born on the Fourth of July) and we are going to be celebrating my best friend's (Birthday of July 17...Disneyland's Birthday) and my birthday. So it has to be special for us!

Anyways, we are getting a three day park hopper and will be there all day on the 6th, 7th, and 8th.

    My question is:

When will the best time be for the four of us to ride nemo? Even if we ride it once, we HAVE to ride it. It's one of the main reason's why we are going...

I mean, obviously if we wait in line we will ride it, but I want to know the best way to do it.

    Do we...

    1. get to the park 1/2 hour - 1 hour before opening and when it opens run to nemo?

    2. wait till early admission day?

    3. wait till last minute of closing??

    Thanks for reading.

I'd do both. Line up early one day and get in line a half an hour before closing another day. It is a different experience with and without sunlight. Plus if it isn't your cup of tea, you don't have to go on it again. Assuming you are a Disney freak like me, you'll love it.

    Have a blast!

I was there yesterday and Sunday. The best time to go IMHO is mid or late afternoon. The lines seem to be about 120-150 minutes at that time. The lines are longer in the morning unless you are there right at ropedrop. The only disadvantage to this strategy is the weather....

Believe me, I am a HUGE Disney freak. I know I'll love it. I'm just not into waiting in line for more than 2 hours. Even an hour is a lot. But I totally forgot about how amazing the subs were at night time when I was a kid. I can't wait! Thanks a bunch!

IMHO = In my humble opinion.

Get there early you'll have a short wait other than waiting at the ropes. Waiting at the end of the night, who cares! Nothing's open after closing anyways. You can always sleep on the flight back. Rest is very overrated when Disney is involved.

    Have fun!

Re: I Know this has been asked a lot...

Hey Prince Dalton, I have two recommendations for ya:

    1. Get there right at opening and immediately race to Nemo. Whatever the wait is, it shouldn't be so bad because you have overcast and it'll still be cool. (the afternoon is BRUTAL). And plus you guys will get it done with, out of the way to enjoy the rest of disneyland. And if you guys like it enough, you'll have the rest of the day or the other two days to do it again.

    2. Maximize your day and get in line 15 minutes before closing. If you guys have the energy to do it that is. It's pretty much a bonus because they'll let you get on the ride, but you won't be wasting park hours to do so. AND... it's night time so you won't be waiting in the sun. And I say 15 minutes before closing because a lot of people race over a minute before closing and the line will actually be longer than 15 minutes prior. hehe.

So those are my two suggestions. Do one, do both, do neither... entirely up to you. Last friday I went, the wait was only 90 minutes the entire evening. But that was prior to school ending and all that. I'm sure you'll have to wait longer than that but I think doing it at the earliest or latest might be the smartest.

Go in the evening/night. Saves you from the sun, and in general Nemo's line slowly wanes from open/midday to evening/night. Never have ridden on it during the day, so I cannot extol the virtues of the experience during the day vs. night. But really, most of the action takes place in the caverns where the time doesn't matter, so it really isn't that big of a deal.

my son will be 16 on the 4th of July. He loves it. The fireworks are his favorite. When he was little he believed that they were just for him. Disappointment when he grew up. He wants to go to Disneyland so bad for his birthday but sadly it is not to be so. We have APs but the gas and hotel. We live in Arizona and it is an 8hour drive. I would love to take him.
