Late Afternoon At The Park 6-20

My daughter was planning to meet a friend at the park and invited me along. We got there just as the afternoon parade was ending

This is the dress in the window on Main Street right now

The All American College Band was performing in front of the castle.

    These kids are really good!

And there director is just a bundle of energy and puts on a good show

We went to the train station area to meet her friend at 5 PM. While waiting the Dapper Dans came out and performed

Her friend never showed but we decided to wait for the pre parade float of
Ratatouille because we were right on a bench at the curb. I thought this was pretty cute and the music is catchy

Walked over to Rivers of America and the Mark Twain is brilliantly white

They were setting up for Fantasmic

This guy had on waist high waders and was in the water connecting things

We decided to leave the park and eat at IHOP. Then we went back and into DCA for short time and then came home. Just a quick little trip that didn't turn out quite as my daughter had planned but nice all the same.

And we leave with the sun setting

Wendy - what a neat report! Since I couldn't be there on a special day, you made my day with the next best thing!

Ditto, it really is nice to see this riverboat back. Thank you for the photos.

We were told the float happens about 10 minutes before Parade of Dreams but it was really more like 18 minutes. When I asked a CM I was told it had not come out for the afternoon parade because the previous day there was problems with the music. Now the music does not come from the float but through the main sound system so not sure what happened on the 19th. The CM could not guarantee the float would make an appearance. Around 6:12 PM or so the music on Main Street stopped and we got excited and sure enough the music for Ratatouilee began and out they came.
