    California Screamin afternoon opening

I was just checking out the DL website for any closings during my vacation and I read that California Screamin won't open until 1pm from now until sometime in 2008.

Has anyone who has recently visited the park noticed an extremely long line for this? Do Fast Passes still open at park opening or at 1pm? How has this affected guest wait times?

    Thank you for all info!

I read that this is happening due to the Toy Story Mania attraction that is being constructed. Any news or info on this would also be greatly appreciated.

It was so crazy when i went around 12:50 there was a line from the entrance to the posters on paradise pier and it was so confusing, therewas a line forming outside the queue to get in the queue and there was a line to get fast passes, it was crazy, i wouldnt deal with it until like 2-3.

Well understand that Screamin is one of the few popular rides at DCA. So of course guests are going to line up for it as soon as it opens, and most will probably start lining up before it's scheduled opening. Since they've already been there since the park opened and done everything else.

i know but it was just a mess i didnt understand what lines went were and we ended up accidently cutting like a billion people to get into the fast pass area because we couldnt turn around so many people so we went through the fastpass place to get out and then we got stopped by this rope. it was just a mess. haha

Thanks for the crowds heads up, I will head to California Screamin in the early evening then. After that I just might head over to the Cove Bar for a refreshment!

Screamin is best a night anyways. And I recommend sitting once in the very front, and once in the very back.

I much prefer the back. I enjoy being thrown around the corners!

With the back, you got the full speed and you're going faster over the drop before you're even at the top and over it.

In the front, you're slow over the drop because you're pullin the rest of the train, but once you're over it, you got the wind in your face and you're pushed just as fast!!!

We rode it at "16:27" last Saturday and waited 5 minutes or so.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Nope, info straight off the picture I bought after I rode it for the first time EVER! It was less than 10, I know. We went right up and over that part that I think goes over the track. (I might have been a wee bit drunk)

Ya might want to give it some time before trying to fastpass or stand by right when it opens. This is Wed, June 20 at 1:05:

The fast pass line is in front of me and the stand by line goes up the board walk.

I won't be there until the first week of July so I can just imagine the crowds at 1. I will definately wait until evening for it.
