    Lightbulb Jungle Cruise Holiday makeover?

Friend brought this up a while back.

If you use the color/theme of the Africa Scene in Small World Holiday, apply holiday music (also holiday broadcasts) in the boathouse, add in some Victorian era toys, gifts and mail (packages etc.) and re-theme the boats you could technically have a JC Holiday.

My question is #1 would it work and #2 would anyone want to see it?

I'd want to see it just because it sounds like a blast. I don't think it would be as successful as HMH, but it would be cool.

As much as I like the attempt in the idea I'd have to say no. I'd rather see The Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room get a holiday layover before Jungle Cruise.

It sounds cool. But I'd also have to say no. I agree with JosephTNielsen. I would much rather see the Tiki Room get Holiday treatment before JC

I dont think that it could be a JC Holiday but a smaller holiday offering much like Storybook gets. Great idea!

Only if Trader Sam wears elf ears and jingly shoes!

Xmas lights are cheap, they could string them up on all the boats for the price of a single day admission.

Funny! Maybe instead of a head, he could be holding...well, never-mind.

    My personal opinion....

Yes and yes. It would be simple and sutle yet would show some planning and holiday themeing in an area that has very little if anything done to it during the holidays. Its something that isen't a massive overlay that wouldn't require a large amount of capital or down time to set up, (unlike HM and SW) and therefore would be quite feasible to do.

I think I like the Tiki Room as just the Tiki room, year round.

    Re: Jungle Cruise Holiday makeover?

When I first read the title, I laughed really hard. It's a funny, yet great idea! But I'd rather see Holiday makeover for Tiki Room, Matterhorn, Autopia, and maybe (hopefully) Space Mountain.

But that's probably just as soon as we'd be seeing Rockin' Indiana Jones.

Unless they make a pirates makeover of Small World or BLAB. (insert shocked expression here)

That'd be cool if they could put Christmas lights all over the temple where that Bengal tiger is... a wreath around the elephants' neck... also possibly give those gorillas santa hats. That'd be so funny, and we'd all get our cameras out and send them to our relatives and say "I went to Africa this Christmas and... CHECK IT OUT!" That'd also be a good April Fool's prank, but actually a holiday celebration in Disneyland. Great idea!! I like it a lot.

I love the idea, but let’s let it be that Santa is delivering presents to the jungle and add a story of is adventures along the way through the Jungles. Since we visit different Jungles this could be done very clever. I think DL executives would do a Tiki Room maker over first, but I still think the idea has potential.

I was thinking (because I think sometimes) if DL would do a holiday makeover why not the rides in Fantasyland. Small World is already doing it why not Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Alice, Casey Jr., Mr. Toads, the Mad Tea Party (and others)
    Just an idea.
    So... what do you think?

That would be nice. However, what I'd like to see Disney start doing is implementing the other holidays into their attractions and parades. Even though I celebrate Christmas I sort of "feel" for those who don't. Those who celebrate Kwanzaa and Chanakuh (sp?). I could totally see a spinning dradle (sp?) float in "A Disney Holiday Celebration." Also, this would give Disney the chance to show the world more traditions than just the norm.

And yeah, one could say don't mix religion with Disney. Well, you know, by having Christmas celebrated that theory is already out the window. So why not just go all out and celebrate the others?

I know that Disney/ABC are pretty much, if not 100%, a Christian/Catholic based company, but I just wish that children of other cultures could feel like they're not left out. I could be wrong (and I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt I am), but I doubt Walt would be fond of discrimanting against showcasing someone's culture just because it's not of his own. Again, I could be wrong.
