Space with or without the "Rockin'" music?

Personally I loved it, but then again I also loved going through it with the lights on... I will never again hold my hands up on that coaster... just wondering what the general consensus was about the music. If you liked the old music, the new music, or that promo music they played for a couple months.

Re: Space with or without the "Rockin'" music?

Space is my all time favorite roller coaster, the rock'n overlay made me not want to ride it at all.
The new music that came with the 2005 refurb is fine, I like the countdown to launch.
I'm looking forward to getting back to the park so I can see Space back the way it should be.

Keep it Space Mountain. No rock on space!

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Keep it the old way. No "Rockin' Space Mountain" for me- thank you very much. What makes it worse (for me) is I don't like the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Keep the lights off, and the music traditional.

Thank you very much in advance.

It was a horrible idea. I hope it never comes back.

    Without!

Space is definately better with the original score. At least it is timed to follow the ride more than some random rock tune. There is such a wide variety of musical tastes that any rock ( or rap, or jazz......etc) chosen as a replacement is not going to sit well with a lot of folks.

My suggestion, bring an iPod and turn the volume up until your eyes bleed, enjoy!

Go ahead, you wont offend anyone.

Re: Space with or without the "Rockin'" music?

I like Space Mountain, but I loved Rockin' (look at my sig).

During the Rockin' promotion I would make it a point to ride Space every time I was there, now I really don't care if I ride it or not since it seems somewhat bland now to me. I'm not saying the classic is bad, just after the excitement of Rockin' and how much I enjoyed it things just aren't the same.

I for one hope they bring it back, even if it might be for a night overlay or something.

NO ROCKIN! What a way to ruin an amazing ride.

I prefer the new score though (post 2005). The old one sounds too surfer, and not spacey at all.

Re: Space with or without the "Rockin'" music?

I love Space Mountain and I like the RHCP but together...they made a poor combination. It all just didn't work with the obnoxious concert lights and lame projections. The magic of Space Mountain is being in space and being submerged in total darkness. When on Rockin' the coaster felt slower because I could see everything clearly and the magic of the ride was lessened to say the least. Rockin' was fun for a couple rides but I'm happy the promotion is over.
