    Dapper Dans

I gotta say- I love the Dapper Dans!

For those of you who have never had the pleasure the Dapper Dans are a singing quartet of various men- constable, shop keeper, bar tender (I think) and a newspaper boy who sing and do small shows on Main St.

Saturday I had the rare thrill of seeing them and was asked to sing along and was taken aside and invited to come try out for illustrious crew! Whewww. Wouldn't that be something! I need some voice lessons before I could ever hope to do it but boy what a job!

So next time you are in Disneyland, stop and give them 5 minutes of your day its a very enjoyable experiance and well worth the stop!

wow thats cool. I love them. are you saying that they are looking for a new member? I didn't think the Dapper Dans had alternates. I've always wondered how one gets an audition for that. which voice part did they have you sing?

Will they take requests? I'd love to hear them sing "Baby on Board" live.

They hold periodic auditions. Check with casting.

I auditioned once many years ago. I thought I hit it off with Shelby because we both went to K-State. But I guess I wasn't what they were looking for...

And I thought this thread was about Everett McGill, George Clooney's character in O' Brother Where Art Thou?!

I just love them - very entertaining and worth watching!

Shelby's a cool guy. Is it just me or does he never seem to age?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
