Compare and contrast. Not only are those shots too high to be the skyway but they are not even the correct angle.

I apologize, Sleepyjeff is correct. I just went back through the photos and found this
You can see some kind of pad or something on the bottom of the picture. These were mixed in with some photos that clearly showed the top of the skyway bucket, so I assumed they were all the same.
I just found these photos while cleaning out my fathers home. I didn't think about the top of the Matterhorn suggestion, so sorry to HBG if he thought I was rude. He often went around to various places backstage, and while I don't remember him ever telling me that he went to the top of the Matterhorn, it is entirely possible.
Here is one from the Skyway. Looking at Big Thunder under construction

thank you
as a Skip I loved those times when they were so busy they would kindly ask us to help with the Guest Parade... Old Skips doing GC... that didn't last long.
As a kid I loved the skyway but as I got older it was more of "Wow so thats how they do it" looking backstage as much as possible.

how bout they build a skyway across the lake in DCA from Paradise Pier to Golden State
Everybody wins when Zoidburg wins!!!
"Meet my friend, Joe Camel, the kids love him!"
i am sure if they bring back the skyway, it should have multiple stops like DCA, and other lands that it hadn't stop before
Don't worry, we'll hide you where there is nobody around for miles, Disney's California Adventure!

Be sure to watch my September 11th Tribute!
maybe we should have a skyway that connects DL to the airport. Now we have our mass transportation to disneyland. It probably a lot less then a train and you can see more of anaheim and don't have to worry about finding a rental car. it could called our highway express
and its new loading system:
They could just have this instead of the Skyway to transport people from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland.
You may be on to something here. Up where I live we already do use a Skyway type system for mass transit.

Every year I go to Lake Compounce (the world's oldest theme park) in CT and ride the "skyway." It's more like a ski-lift, but a similar ride.
It's something I wish every park had. Here is a video (make sure to watch at least half of it... the ride goes up a mountain and then turns around and goes back. The view from the top is AMAZING.

I could see bringing the skyway back, and have it fly over DCA, much like the monorail at Epcot gives guests a preview of the park before entering it. This way people might be more tempted to try new things at DCA and actually go.
Then again. I cant see the skyway comign back.
