SCREAMIN'!!!!!!! We usually have to ride at least 10 times a trip.

Corn dogs. Eat 1 per trip. So big, so good.

Someone said this before but DCA is so totally laid back, it seems like there are less kids and strollers which is nice for the young singles like us.

My most favorite thing....Beach Boys songs all carnivaled out. Man i love that. I could just sit at the Pier all day listening to the music.

And yes that burned coffee does make me feel like I have come home. Mmmmmmmmm......

I love the seasons of the vine show! The Music in that show is beautiful and so relaxing.

I also love the motivating area music in Condor Flats, as well as the music in the Grizzly River Run area.

The transformation of the Beast's Library from light to dark and back again is always cool to watch.

The theming in TOT is also great.

Sorry guys, but I do love DCA.

hmmm... i really like DCA... I really really do. The first time I went I was a bit disapointed, but the next time I went I decided to not be so.... theme park stuck up? I don't know how to explain it, but I discovered that I really liked it.

    And I don't even drink!

I used to work in Tower at Disney World, It's actually where I fell in love, so it's hard for me to say this, but I think the DCA one is actualy better. Muppets is fantastic. TTBAB is so much fun for me "if it weren't for the fact that we liked the taste, you'd be out there wallowing in shoulder high waste... shoulder high waste!" Soarin' takes my breath away every time I ride it.

all in all it's hard to explain. It feels like a microcosom of all my childhood vacations to California (thats where good Utah kids go on vacaion ladies and gentlemen) Combining my memories of Disneyland, national parks, Montery (my family is obsessed with Stienbeck so Montery was always a vacation stop) Beaches, Boardwalks, Hollywood..... I love DCA.... I want to be there now.... Oh well, I will be in TWO days!!!

    Yummy

DCA is great. They are going to build more rides, so it will be greater. I think people expect it to have the same feeling as Disneyland. Nothing does or will have the same feeling, even when you to an Disney Park you do not get that same feeling of just, I don't know how, pure happiness.

    I like DCA because:

-No resteraunt serves the same thing really, and it is actually a wide variety.
-The whole Grizzly area is great and feels cool on a hot summer day.
-Where else can you see Whoopi form California?
-Free tortillas, need I say more.

UNfortunately with Turle Talk coming in to the animation building I beleive they will be having more meet and greets and princess watch-ya-ma-call-it's there. That saddens me but hey what can ya do I love that building too!

    1. I-Scream Sundaes at Bur-r-r Bank
    2. Taste Pilots burgers
    3. Corn Dogs
    4. Trattoria
    5. booze
    6. BPB is my favorite parade to come around in awhile
    7. DEP is always fun, and very nice with the lights of PP in the background
    8. Soarin' is an amazing ride
    9. Screamin' is my favorite roller coaster anywhere
10.ToT has a better indoor queue than its florida counterpart and a nicer nighttime lighting package (who would know, though), even if the ride needs to be about a minute longer
11.Animation puts its Florida counterpart to SHAME...it has the feel of an epic Epcot pavilion
12.Muppet*Vision 3D has been making me laugh hysterically since I was about 7 (at MGM)
13.Theming of Hollywood Blvd (love it for the same reason I love MGM)
14.all of the background music...there is not a track throughout the park that I don't love
    15.Grizzly
16.Paradise Pier (really the whole park) at night is stunning...why they don't let it shine more often is beyond me
17.Far fewer screaming kids and angry parents than its sister park
18.Flik's Fun Fair is one of the best themed areas in ANY Disney park, though I don't ride anything there, I walk through just for the theming
19.ITTBAB is so much fun, with an awesome queue
20.All of the tours are interesting to me, though not something to see on every visit...Golden Wine Vinery is very pretty though
    21.MaliBOOMer at night!
    22.Ariel's Grotto
23.Paradise Bay without bird poop island and with the working wave machine
    24.Goofy's scream coming from MaliBOOMer
25.Orange Stinger is the kewlest swing ride anywhere
26.Golden Zephyr, when it is running (when the wind is less than 1 mph...)
    27.the entrance...perfect for pictures.
28.the overall theming of the park...I think it is some of the kewlest around, though more trees would help conceal Anaheim from view...
    29.I actually like Golden Dreams...
30.The wide walkways make the park feel bigger than it really is to me...it's the biggest 55 (closer to 60, now) acres I have ever walked through.
31.The turn from Hollywood Blvd. to Sunset Blvd.
32.The orange glow the park takes at sunset
33.how can you be unhappy when Surfin' USA is in the air...it feels like one big party!

    Dca !!!

Ok folks I dont know if you have heard this yet, but I have some info that may increase the population of DcA.

There will be a major construction comming very soon to connect the remainder of the parking lot to DCA and place a new attraction on its place.

The attraction is from a well tested and popular ride from Tokyo, called Armagedon! If you havent been on it or heard of just ask anyone who has, its freakin cool. there will be more rides comming that will blow ya away. But I cant announce it yet. But look for DCA to pack out!

    Come to the dark side,
    we have cookies.

I saw this thread and avoided looking at it because of all the past bashing that has gone on in here with previous ones. There are a few chatters with some deep seated hatred for DCA that usually manage to make it all turn sour.

To my surprise, it actually has a really positive vibe. I have a special feeling for DCA having been heavily involved with Wescot 2000 which was a citizens/business group that was all for the expansion of the Disneyland Resort. We held rallies, attended the environmental impact meetings, took out billboard advertising, attended city hall meetings, and worked closely with Disney to make it happen.

We saw the original plans for Disney America come on the table and Westcot be shelved, only to be resurrected a few months later with the new DCA idea. Our group saw it through to the end and were treated to previews of both Downtown Disney and DCA along with other special events.

I believe there is tremendous potential for the resort to become the multi-day destination that was initially envisioned. That DCA didn't wow the public as intended is rather sad. There is so much that is good about it. DL needed a decade or so to reach its full magical potential. Landscaping and vegetation had to reach a level of maturity to really make it look wonderful along with the addition of new and spectacular attractions.

Part of the pleasure of DL for me has been observing the evolution of the park over the past 46 years. I am watching DCA in the same frame of mind and expect to see some wonderful transformations and additions to be made in the next decades.

    you are very lucky people

I did not visit California Adventure yet, but I like that park

You guys did not know the Walt Disney Studios in Paris but I can tell you that the California Adventure would be a HIT in Paris.

My friends who went to LA just loved Disney's California Adventure - they say that there is a lot to do and that the attractions are great - Soarin', TOT, California Scremin', Grizzly River Run, Disney Animation, Muppets, bug's life.

It's true that Disneyland is packed full of great attractions and your second park may appear a little bit poor - anyway I think that the park is nice and I just love the Grizzly Peak

I really like the food at DCA. Lots to choose from and it tastes good too. Plus you have free snacks there. While some of the areas need help overall I think the park is alright, but it's just missing something to make me want to stay there all day. 1 thing that is missing is an arcade. You could either put 1 in right across from Golden Dreams or where Hollywood and Dine used to be.
