    DCA's Good points?

Let's get some positives about DCA going here. I know it still is a dissapointment to most, but maybe if we focus on the good it won't seem as bad. Because I refuse to believe that DCA is an all around bad park. Poor for Disney yes, but better than most socal parks, yes. So I'm going to list what I like about DCA.

-Food, DCA has some of the best fast food and restraunts right now. In fact, that's what really makes DCA shine is it's eateries. And let's not forget Brrrbank ice cream.

    -Booze!

-Block Party Bash. Come on, you have to admit it is much better than parade of dreams right now.

-Soarin Over California is and always will be a great sim.

-TOT, not the ride itself, but the themeing is spot on and creepy and it pulls you in.

    -Everyone loves Muppets!

-A bug's land is pretty darn effective when it comes to keeping the little ones entertained. I'd actually say there is alot more to do there for children than the DL alternative (Toon Town).

-The burnt waffle smell is quite engaging when you enter.

I happen to enjoy a majority of the park. I believe it is a diamond in the rough worth improving and expanding and is only half way to where it will go.

*I love Aladdin- people who bag on the shows must be missing appreciation of the brilliance of the set design, acting, singing and the fact they put it on up to 2 times a day 7 days a week! Plus the Genie is fricken fracktacular! I love his un-PC humor!

*I love the Grand California and the area around Grizzly River Rapids.

*Muppets are my other Disney so I gotta love that!

*My father is a pilot so Soaring really hits me where it counts!

*Winery tour, Free bread, free tortilla- all leading to the alter of Karl Strauss.

*Lastly and most importantly---they have Skeeball on the pier and we all know that God love Skeeball and he most loves his creatures that love skeeball!

The only positives are two rides in my opinion, Soarin' and Rapids!

The food's good, I like Trattoria, there should be some place in DL with their kind of menu - oh, that's right, they closed Cafe Orleans.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

There are parts of DCA I really do like:

    1) Soarin' - one of my favorite rides of both parks

    2) A better and bigger variety of food available

    3) The Animation building - looking forward to the addition of Turtle Talk

    4) It's Tough to be a Bug ride - has the best 3D of all the 3D shows, plus the effects are just so much more than the others.

    5) The large walkways make it easier to walk around

    6) There are hardly any ODV carts!

    7) The theming around Grizzly rapids is really nice and relaxing

The Animation Building is my favorite place in the resort. To myself Disney is feature length animation and no where else in the resort gets down and wallows in that fact like the animation building does.

Now if they would stop using the building for Princess and Character meet and greets... <sighs>

I like DCA too. I'm a California Girl and I like to find all the CA stuff the have there. It's a relaxed park that doesn't OVER theme like some parts of DL.
I do think they should add some tide to the water around the wharf. and maybe some sea life. Why not have a dolphin show, or sea lion show?
The food is good. The Wilderness area around GRR is great.
I love the Hollywood backlot area as well. I love Hollywood. But they need to change the street signs to streets that actually intersect. Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd just DON'T intersect.
The Aladdin show is fantastic! Go DeeDee!
Well, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, I think you're crazy, just like me.

My opinon on DCA has always been, "It is a very nice generic amusement park, it just isn't very Disney." It is slowly becoming more "Disney", but will always bare the scars of its initial flawed design.

    Things I like:
ToT (80% as good as MGMs)

Soarin' (Needs a queue/building overhaul, screen replacement/cleaning and new prints of the film, but still pretty good.)

    Animation Lobby

Screamin' (Could be a great coaster if it was themed to something other than a coaster-themed-coaster)

    ITTBAB, Muppets

Theming of Fliks (needs some real rides)

    Aladdin (Hyperion)

GRR (if it is early afternoon, really hot out and I'm in the mood to get repeatedly dunked in cold water.)
