    Fishbulb's 07/08/07 Trip report

Dustysage and I got to the resort barely on time. Our plan was just to pop in and say "Hello" at the meet and then go have lunch with Dusty's best friend, Savik101. However, we got to parking lot X and it was closed! ¿Como? we made our way around to Downtown Disneyland parked there. We raced down the walkway and made it through the gates at 12:00 noon.

We raced down Main Street and made it to the meet where we came eye to eye with the AbominableSnowman!

    No really that's his username.

Thing is, since it was gonna be such a short trip I really didn't plan on doing a report. But after several people asked me if I was gonna do one I thought, 'well maybe I should. Even if it's short.'. So then I started taking pics.

    Is it meet time yet?

Scubabe showed up with her beautiful Mom!

    Hey Chris!

    Coheteboy eating his apples

    Coheteboy's UBER COOL shoes

TheRockr spotted Wendy and asked if I would chase her dopwn and take his pic with her. Sure!

    Fishy and AbominableSnowman

    DippityDawg at his first meet!

LynRenFaire sports a Poxy Boggards shirt

PirateMunkee let out a belch that echoed throughout the park

    PezzLightyear smiled for the FishCam

    David Lane

SnowWhiteRaven taking a picture of her breasts

Ashee and his lovely family. WONDERFUL people. Very sweet

    TikiroomLiz and Sam

    Walt Blesses the new blood

Lil'Ashee makes faces at the camera

    Jeff

    PirateMunkee, Mousercise and NeverNeverland

    Brian showed up with...

    his girlfriend nikki and Almondot

Dan, Fishbulb, Savik101, Deeogee'sMom and Dustysage

We told the group we had plans to go off and have our own little lunch with Savik101 and Lil' Ashee was bummed out.

"Uh can't you guys just stay for a little bit? No? Okay. Next weekend then."

Suddenly an old friend showed up.

    AhShucks! HOW ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?!

While everyone else chatted at the hub, I decided I was gonna fill up this Ride-lite report with extra photos of flowers and scenery.

    Flower basket at the hub

    Entrance to Frontierland

    Cana Lilly

    Adventureland entrance

    Yellow Cana

Dustysage and Savik101 made there way away from the Hub and I met up with them on Main Street

    Te he he

We stopped by Disneyana (The Pusherman) to see if any Haunted Mansions came in.

MInnie Big Fig. Hey isn't that an OxyMoron?

    New E-Ticket

Savik101, Dusty and I planned on eating at Yamabuki. Dusty thought it would be a good idea to check with City Hall to see if it was even open. Savik101 and I hung out in Town Square and I took more pics.

We found Town Square's On/Off switch

    Celosia

The Disneyland Rose around the Flag Pole

    Ageratum

We found out that Yamabuki would not be open until 5pm. So we decided to see what was available in Downtown Disney

We checked several places, Uva Bar, Jazz Kitchen, but nothing seemed to ring our proverbial bells. Then there was Tortilla Joe's. Dare we risk it? We did. And this time, it wasn't bad! Even the Martini was good!

It IS disconcerting that the Men's room is right next to the Kitchen

We finished and outside a piano player's piano was on fire. He still played it though.
    Talk about dedication to craft

We stopped into the Lego store

And that was it. I was bummed out that we didn't ride anything though. Earlier in the day Dusty suggested I go, during the week, and take night pics. Good idea. Since there were no rides today I will be going to the park tomorrow night for a quick bite and some night time rides and photography which I will post as a part two to this thread.

    Until then,

    THE END!!!

Fishy, a fabulous little TR that didn't turn out so little after all! I'm glad you boys had a good day, even though you didn't get to ride anything.

Couldn't have been a nicer day... and so uncrowded for a July weekend!

Hey! I've seen those Lego buildings before... they were part of the display at Fullerton Train Days this year! Cool that they're still in use (in part).

Recognize the hotel in this pic?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

it was a great day at the park. We walked on several rides. The longest we waited was about 10 minutes for TOT. My Mother loved the day so much she bought me a new fossil purse.

We had lunch at the uva bar, shopped and finished up our day on DCA. We were home by 6:00pm and traffic was pretty light. It was a perfect day.

It was nice meeting everyone today..

Ah, Sebastian Sidi...I have seen him there. Great performer.

    Thanks Fishy!
