7/8/07 Single Rider Meet TR - The B-days, Meets, Pirates Shuffle, and Buttons?!

Yesterday was the July installment of the Single Riders Meet. Thanks to LostBoy75 (tarzantrashcanman) for making it happen.

Anyone who has pics from the day, feel free to post them here

Prior to the meets, Disney1978 and I celebrated our Birthdays with breakfast at the Riverbelle Terrace. We were joined by Neverneverland, LostBoy75 and his friend Geoff.

After breakfast we still had some time before the Noon meet so we went on pirates, which gave me an opportunity to test my new camera

, and did some pin shopping (they're converting me to the dark side!!)

As we passed through the hub to get to the Tomorrowland pin store we saw some familiar faces

After the pin madness it was onto the noon meet!

Nice turnout on Sunday

After the meet NNL, D78, Coheteboy, Jeff, and I skipped lunch with the group and killed some time before the Single Riders meet.

Great start to the single rider's meet trip report Mousercise!

Just get one pin every time you go.....that way you only have to part with $6-$9 at a time...and you go often enough that pretty soon you'll have quite a collection!

Also, you can get a bunch of cheap Disney pins at the Warehouse store ad trade those for the better ones you want!

Great reminder Buttercup,

I bought a bunch at Disney warehouse for my daughter. She wanted to know why I got her so many Mickey Kwaanza pins.

I told her because she can trade these for pins with castmembers. Oh, and the pins were $3.99.

Sunday was a truly beautiful day to be at Disneyland. It was hot, but there was a really pleasant and cool breeze if you knew where to find it.

Coming to the park, DCA looked like it's sporting some new colors up front.

And in case you forgot why you were even here...

Walking up Main Street, it's fun to see characters doing their thing.

Inside the Tomorrowland Pin store next to Astro Blasters, I spot Disney1978, Mousercise, and Neverneverland, who kept the Buttercup tradition of pinching my butt.

Here's some wall details I never looked at before.

We still had time prior to the noon meet so off to get Space Mountain fast passes! Here's a rare look at the backside of three tomorrowland signs!

In the window of the Star Trader, a mannequin turned into some mutant Fish person.

The noon meet came and went and I forgot to whip out my camera because I was stuffing my face with an HBI (hot beef injection) from the Corn Dog cart and meeting Aashee for the first time. My friend Jeff also stopped by for his first noon meet and second single rider meet.

Since we had a 3:40pm reservation at Cafe Orleans, we didn't eat at Rancho Zocalo with everyone else. Instead, we went on the Jungle Cruise. Our skipper Larry was just awesome. So funny! It takes talent to deliver a Hibiscus and Lowbiscus joke and make me laugh. We also saw micechatter Brittany but she was stuck with the unloading.

Then it was time for Big Thunder!

That's NeverNeverland with the Harry Potter tattoo.

After the wildest ride in the wilderness, we entered into Fantasyland to ride the Carousel! Yah, we were killing time before the 2:30pm meet!

After that Snow White had a small wait so we tapped it.

Snow White's a lot of fun. I laugh when we exit because it's just so funny! And scary! The recent dark rides just don't even have the fun nor the scary.

What fantastic pictures! You captured so many details that I'm gonna have to find on our next visit. I feel like such an eejit for this but...I have never seen that plaque in Frontierland! Thank you...this is a must see.

Did you have that Mickey pancake for your birthday?? Good girl and I hope your birthday will always be remembered. geez, I would love to spend my birthday there.
