    Time to avoid summer crowds?

Well I haven't been to Disneyland that much since the summer crowds have arrived but for you regulars when is the least crowded time during the summer to visit Disneyland? Middle of the week, at night, early in the morning?

if you want to avoid them, then don't go during the summer

if that doesn't work for you, usually weekend nights, cause everyone goes during like the week and during the day....I know its weird, but weekend nights work best for me

Re: Time to avoid summer crowds?

I went once in June and took a day off from work on a Wednesday and found it packed all day. It was pretty Miserable.

Then 2 weeks ago I went on a Monday after work (6 PM) and stayed till it closed and I felt like my wife and I had the park to ourselves. Our longest wait was 30 minutes and that was Indy. Everything else was less than 10 minutes.

I guess you just have to get lucky!

I think it depends right now. I once went on a Wednesday, and it wasn't crowded at all. We went there this past Sunday, and it was pretty dead. The longest we waited was - I think- 15 minutes, and that was for BTMRR. I think it depends nowadays, because you never know when it will be crowded.

In general it's been pretty slow lately.

The Orange County Fair begins on July 13 and goes until August 5. I wonder how that will effect the crowds?

We were the June 29-July 2. That Sunday, the 1st, wasn't crowded. We did Fantasyland in an hour, in the middle of the day, inc Peter Pan and Dumbo.

if you'd been in the last few weeks you'd be asking....

    WHAT SUMMER CROWDS??!!!

i mean isn't it july.....is this what finally happens, everyone thinks summer is busy so no one comes?

august will be busy, with the aps unblocked and locals getting a trip in before school.

Midweek, early morning, expected hottest possible day of the year.

Lots of DL is indoors. Not like SFM or Knott's. Only thing that beats it is the beach, which is where everyone goes on the expected hottest day of the year.

It seems that Nemo is having a great effect on the other line so far. If you aren't going on Nemo, that's a couple thousand people not waiting for the other rides.

The last 2 Sundays I have gone, the lines have been quite a bit smaller than I have expected. I hope it keeps up!

I'd like to put in a request for Sun/Mon, 07/15-16, to not be crowded (well, except for Micechatters!).

How about the 17th? Nothing special will happen on that date.
