    Question Annual Passholders Only...

After viewing the thread about if there should be an adults only section of Disneyland I got to thinking about if there should a place where only annual passholders were allowed.

I'm not saying there should be. Nor am I saying there shouldn't be. I haven't really thought about it in depth. I just thought I'd see what you guys think.

    How about home??

Secondly, how special do you think 620,000 APs are?

It would be one thing if there were, say, 1000 AP holders, paying $2000 per year. Maybe there would be someplace special for such VIGs ("very important guests").

There is already an AP Lounge. It's called "DCA."

And how special do you think 150,000 (my own estimate, but I don't count that well) PAP'ers are?

That would be nice. Maybe they could hold PAP parties in the old Millionaire building until a new attraction gets held. PAP could pay an admission fee to lavish parties and such. I don't know, just a thought.

There was a time when there was an AP entrance gate...would it make sense to bring that back?

Oh, you want to have them pay more? I like that idea.

I guess everyone wants their special treatment.... not so sure about AP's have a "special section". Besides they already did... 2 of them, it's called "Pin Trading Section" and "City Hall Complaint Line". I remember the gate, but having 1 gate for AP's might actually be a bad idea, esp if the other gates refuse to scan you and AP's outnumber incoming crowds.

I don't know about a special area for APs considering, as mentioned, how many there are. But, an AP entrance doesn't seem like too big of a thing to have accomplished. I think it would just make sense. Plus, it could be a way for DLR to try to integrate the self-entry systems that they have at the WDW parks. Make the APs the guinea pigs.

I think the discounts and the fact that we can go whenever we want is worth what we pay (actually I think the price is really great for what we get). I don't think anything additional or special is needed just for APs, PAPs, etc. You pass gets you into the park, thats why we buy it right?

I don't know. Maybe the PAP could get in for free, but the ones below it could still get in, but for a little bit of a fee. Maybe deluxe would have to pay $25, and SoCal would have to pay $50. I don't know, it was just a thought.

That's a good point-what if the APs are only allowed to enter through that AP line and not the others when it gets quite crowded. Not all APs are geniuses and know how to use their passes with exquisite finesse as others do.

The "AP lanes" would need to have at least three or four turnstyles...at all times. That could prove to be a challenge considering DCA never really seems to have more than 6 turnstyles open at any one time.
