the unhappiest place on earth sometimes
I find it interesting how some people can get in the foulest mood when at Disneyland. The sources seem to be one of two things : other rude guest, bratty kids.
I went to the park about 3 weeks ago and found a pretty good spot in the plaze to watch the fireworks. But before the fireworks I got to watch several heated exchanges between guest. Some people pushing their way in at the last second and standing in front of people who had waited a long time for a prime spot. Pushing. Kids being lifted up onto shoulders and blocking views. I really can't believe blows were not exchanged. While over at Fantasmic a family of 6 that didn't speak a word of English shoved all their kids in front of a group of people who had been waiting for the show for some time. Normally this would be no big deal because adults can see over kids but these kids where climbing all over the railing and pushed their way back and forth from the front to their parents in the back, climbing over people and kocking over drinks. Of course the dumb parents just stood there and didn't do anything about it. I looked at the father with a "are you doing to do something about these brats". He just looked at me like a deer in headlights.
Then of course there are the tired, grumping people who have walk around the park all day in the sun and are exhausted. Kids are tired and start crying. Nothing makes them happy. They want candy or a ballon but mom or dad don't want to wait in line or spend the money. Kids are so tired they can hardly walk but the second mom or dad say it is time to go home they freak out. These are also the people that walk 8 side by side, strolling as slow as they can, blocking the walk way while talking on a cell phone. Meanwhile there is a crowd of people stuck behind them getting madder by the second.
Although I am very impressed with everything Disneyland has done so far for the 50th, I hate going in the summer and don't care if my pass it blacked out. It has nothing to do with the park, it is the people that go there.
